The house also needed carpentry work in many areas for wood that needed replacement (stairs, boards on the house, etc.). Paul came out to the house and was prompt, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. We wanted the job done right and we were very comfortable with what Paul recommended. Both the carpentry and painting crews did an excellent job. Paul's office manager and Paul himself were very responsive to our questions and concerns as the project progressed. He pitched to me a carpenter that could take care of a small item we needed help with on a cabinet. He included this in his estimate and we agreed to terms. It was like pulling teeth to get the carpenter to do the job, and ultimately, did not do the job, and Billy did adjust the final payment. As for the painting, we had to have the crew back to fix obvious issues, other areas agreed to that were not completed, and still did not pick up their mess. Another area of concern was we found beer in our fridge from his crew. He investigated and said it was for a friend after they completed work...which is quite suspect. Given the quality of the services, I could see them having some beers as part of their day-to-day... I would rate the painting overall 2 stars. I frankly could have done a better job...I just didn't want to paint the entire place (every wall, every ceiling). They did remove popcorn ceiling in a couple rooms and that effort was good quality. If I had to do this again, I would have went with a couple other options/companies that were within the same quote value as Billy's team at Daygig Painting. Billy is a decent person, and it pains me to rate so poorly, but ultimately, for the cost of this job, the value was just not there. I wouldn't recommend doing more business with this company.

They did an amazing job. The guys were thorough, very careful and really easy to have around. We stayed home throughout the entire process. Every evening, when they left, they put their stuff neatly out of the way and arranged things so we had access to what we would need. The work was spot on. The preparation to the area before they ever got to paint an inch was fantastic. Paper and tape and tarps protected everything. They moved the furniture and noted where we wanted things put back. They took photos of where we wanted our pictures to go and after the paint dried, they rehung them. The house, walls and trim look better than new. We couldn't be happier.

In May 2023, I contracted with Silverback Construction of Beaufort, SC to construct a new deck…read more The contractor was very pleasant, helpful, & seemingly honest. He had plans that fit my needs. His wrecking crew seem to do an adequate job until noticed that they were burying debris . I told the contractor & he spoke to his lead worker. As time went on I noticed that they still were burying debris. Rather than fuss with them, I uncovered the debris & disposed of it. One of the issues I addressed with the contractor was whatever material they bought for my deck belong to me. I've had experiences that a contractor would over buy material with my funds then take the material home. I don't like that. The contractor said he understood & implied that his workers would comply. A month into the construction, I talked with the lead worker & he was surprised that I had that agreement with the contractor. The area that my new deck was being build on had previously had an above ground swimming pool that had been dug out to accommodate part of the pool. Instead of leveling the area they built the substructure in & around the depression. I didn't think that was a good idea but we were too far along in the construction. After the deck was completed the contractor said he'd get some dirt to fill in the area on the perimeter. When the load came, it was more sand than dirt. There were several delays & he hadn't had his men come & spread the dirt so I did it. When I was done I informed him that there was still a need for more dirt since I had hoped to use part of the area to plant several ground covers. He stated that since I spread the first load he would purchase the load, which I thought was generous. To this date (28 Nov 23) I have not received any additional dirt. My central displeasure with this project is the disconnect from the contractor's words & his actions. I would not recommend this contractor for any project.

Sergio's team did an exceptional job with all aspects of the project from start to finish, including comprehensive assessments/ estimates with paint type recommendations, highly skilled drywall repair, incredibly thorough floor coverage and paint preparation (wood filler application, sanding, etc.), excellent attention to detail with paint application (using many different colors and sheens based on room), expert trim painting, and meticulous touch-up work when any areas for improvement were identified. Beyond the team's exemplary interior painting skills, we were very impressed by their exterior painting abilities with the window frames on the back of our house. They carefully cleaned, primed, and sealed the window frames prior to painting and ensured they had adequate knowledge of the window material before recommending the appropriate paint type. The painting was very precisely applied without damaging the surrounding window glass. Additionally, Sergio offered extremely fair and competitive pricing compared to other paint vendors in the area and provided consistent, informative, and reassuring communication throughout the process. Overall, AZ Painting pleasantly exceeded our expectations during a time when it is unfortunately difficult to find quality workmanship, and I was extremely grateful for Sergio's patience with all of my questions and concerns throughout the process.
