From the very beginning John went above and beyond what could be expected. Beyond being our photographer, we always felt as if he was a partner in planning our perfect day. For starters, John's work is phenomenal. He (and his assistant) shoot wonderfully, with a great sense for lighting, background, color, etc. He caught every shot you can imagine, with a perfect blend of planning and spontaneity ... from the unbelievably beautiful formal shots to the wonderful unknowns which showed my husband and I, as well as all of our guests having the time of their lives! The wonderful memories of our perfect day are "sparked" and enhanced every time we look at our album or other pictures displayed in our home. In terms of being our partner, John was there from the beginning. Whatever question we had, whether or not it was related to photography, he was more than willing to listen, provide advice, and lend a hand. We wanted to take some of the formal pictures before our ceremony, so John created a special moment for Gregg and I to see each other for the first time on our wedding day. To say that I felt that Gregg and I were the only two people in the world at that moment is an understatement ... but John was there somewhere and he caught the tears of joy in my husband's eye and the magical love between us. He also helped us to make our ceremony totally unforgettable! Gregg is an avid cyclist, and John helped us to surprise all of our guests, including our entire wedding party, by having Gregg ride his bicycle down the aisle; and to make sure the bride had her special moment, John remembered that I was a runner and did a lot of strength training - so spontaneously at the wedding, had me drop down and do push-ups - in my gown! And he caught it all in the pictures. John was unquestionably an integral part of our day. In addition to his creativity, skill, and talent as a photographer, John has a special way of connecting with people and making a special day even more unique. Everyone at the wedding who interacted with John loved him; and those who have seen the pictures can't say enough about how incredibly beautiful they are. I still don't know how he did it, but like magic he turned two relatively camera-shy people into stars for the day! While he captured every moment of the day ... you never knew he was there! She gave me a very affordable rate and even added a student discount at my request. We emailed back and forth regarding my ideas for the shoot and logistics of the day. A few days before the shoot I realized that I gave her the wrong date (Tuesday instead of Wednesday). She kindly moved her schedule around to accommodate me for Wednesday. On graduation day, she was on time and very professional. We took pictures at Central Park with my family. She was very patient and open to ideas. Afterwards, it took a bit longer than I hoped to get the pictures (about a week), but they came out very nice. Everybody--friends and family alike--and myself loved them.
