I bought a Whirlpool washer from Home Depot, and purchased the square trade warranty by Allstate. The washer broke after two years, so I called square trade and they made an appointment with HBK Appliance solutions. I googled them and saw all the horrible reviews so I canceled the appointment. I called square trade back to make another appointment, and the idiots made it again with HBK. I thought I would go ahead and keep the appointment. Well, no surprise they were a no show. I tried to call to confirm the appointment and I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. It would say "your phone call can not be completed", then I would get a text message saying they would call me soon but they never did. They have changed the day and time that a technician will come to repair our refrigerator 4 times and no show! I called them and got a girl on the phone who told me that the time had changed again! If you're reading this, I'm guessing that you've already made at least one mistake, and that was buying an extended appliance warranty. I made the same mistake. It happens. My advice? Eat the cost, and just hire a real company to come fix your appliance. I will never buy an extra appliance warranty again. These people they contract with are awful. They will waste your time, and in my case, after several no-call, no-show days, finally the guy just broke it worse than it was and left saying he couldn't fix it. Now instead of just not working, my ice maker is literally just hanging down with wires exposed. It started well, I scheduled for a repair and the repairman came at the agreed upon time and date (Tuesday). He looked at my ice maker and determined the unit was shot and told me he would order the appropriate parts and they should arrive in two days so the ice maker would be repaired by the end of the week. I thought that was aggressive but great. Friday came and went, nothing. I started calling them on Tuesday, no answer. I called every day and every day no answer. I finally got someone on the line and they told me they would call the tech and then call me back. Three days went by, no return call. Ok, I'll call the insurance company and talk to them which I did & they said they would reach out. Sure enough, within a few hours HBK called me to schedule my repair and yes, the tech arrived at the designed time and in less than 20 minutes the unit was replaced and working (he could hear the water line active indicating the ice maker was working) and the next day there was ice. My suggestion is to be nice even. I know you're upset, but be nice. The work performed was excellent, their customer service, not so much. read more

I received a confirmation for an appointment for today between 8 and noon. I called to confirm as I noted that it was a Georgia number and I wanted to make sure that it was correct. I left a message and had no response. At 11:55, I called to check for an update because the status was still showing today, but when I reached someone, they said the appointment was for Monday between 1 and 5 and that they were going to call to confirm at 4:30. These clowns were hired out by Sears to repair an appliance that was under an extended warranty through Sears at the time of purchase. We were provided a 4 hour window. Not only did they not show they didn't call to say they were running late or wouldn't be able to make the appointment. I called Sears and was provided a number to contact them. I called about 30 minutes prior to the end of our appointment. Straight to voicemail. Left a message. No response. Called again an hour later. Same thing. Do not use HBK Appliance Solutions or First American Home Warrany companies. We have been wait over 4 months now for a dishwasher repair. These companies keep telling us the parts are on back order...yet I can find all of these parts for less and $20 each on GE's site and 3-5 day shipping less that $6. HBK techs also do not know what they are doing. Everytime HBK is at my home they call their manager, or lead tech, to figure out how to perform the attempted repair; ie how to remove the door. Do not waste your time with these companies. Better off just finding a reputable local repair tech. The insurance companies put customers through hassle and I feel are part of the delays with just getting a repair done. They are a 3rd party contractor for Loew's appliance warranties. Appointment scheduled. They were a no show, with no telephone answered, and no return call given. I called Loew's and they rescheduled with a new service provider. BTW...HBK has an 'F' rating with the Better Business Bureau for all of the same reasons. My refrigerator has not worked since June, 2023. After several repair calls with Tech Services, with no solution, I requested service of my refrigerator 8/17/2023, HBK was assigned the service call, but No one showed up. I called Sears and they said HBK would come out 8/22/2023. The representative Wilson Perez and his service technician, Domingo arrived, let the freon out of the refrigerator, and said that the unit needed to be replaced. Wilson Perez did not provide his notes to the Sears Master Protection Agreement team, so they are waiting for his notes in order to proceed with my claim. What should I do to get Mr. Perez to send the Sears Master Protection Agreement team his service call notes? I am very upset with this situation, and I am very frustrated that no one at HBK Appliances, if they still exist, is responding to my calls or request! read more

In my serv agreement with Sears Appliance Repair, I contacted them to have my refrigerator repaired on May 29, 1023. HBK Appliance Solutions came out on June 2 to evaluate repair and order parts. While the parts were supposed to be in by June 11, with a repair start date of June 12, the last part was received by June 16. After repeatedly calling Sears Repair Services and HBK Solutions beginning June 16, all I'Ce gotten has been a series of non-responsiveness via emails and on-line chat attempts and evasiveness. The worst I've experienced in my life time of 75 years. I will be following up with the Better Business Bureau and seeking a refund of my $75 service call. The only way to speak with Sears repa is to pay $75, and I refu to pay another dime. read more
