The Clark County family court system is extremely corrupt, and this firm is part of the problem…read moreunfortunately. This is not a firm that can be trusted, and they never used to do a flat fee. They only started doing that because they discovered going after the homes of clients was not profitable. I have personal experience with this firm and I strongly advise you go elsewhere. In a case I have personal knowledge about, one of their clients actually committed suicide.

$7200 and 9 months later, My friend had to change attorneys to complete her very simple divorce (no…read moreassets). Ms. Gaffney appeared disorganized and forgetful. We went to court several times without ever moving toward settlement. The other party was never made to pay the custodial fee awarded by the court. She rarely had any comeback for the opposing attorney even after we wrote her out an easy to follow time line and answers to questions that the opposing attorney always brought up. When we would present her with proofs/facts about what the opposing party was doing or lying about, she advised she couldn't use our information, but we should hire a private investigator ( more $$$ out of our pocket). When the settlement hearing did not reach any conclusion, Ms Gaffney advised that going to court would cost another $10,000! Ms. Gaffney was completely aware of my friend's financial situation (small social security only) and she could not possibly afford to go to court. At this point, my friend found another attorney who took her information, found the opposing attorney ( apparently he has no brick and mortar office), made an offer and settled within 6 weeks, with no more unneeded court sessions nor any more money out of my friend's pocket. I advise that if you need a divorce attorney, although Ms. Gaffney is very personable until you confront her, you go elsewhere!!!
