I fell in love with her images, and I knew if I ever got married I would want her to be my photographer. Fast forward a couple of years, and you can imagine how thrilled I was when I got the news that she was available to shoot my small wedding! Her pictures came out even more beautiful than we imagined. Heidi was able to capture something in us that we will forever cherish. If I ever have the chance again, I would love for her to photograph any other significant event in my life, because I know I will absolutely ADORE the photos. I cant count how many times I have received compliments from people who have seen the photos. Also, she was really cool too, I usually feel self conscious when taking photos and her demeanor totally put us at ease. Would TOTALLY recommend!

When we contacted Heidi a little after our wedding to see if we could instead use our deposit for maternity pictures she said we would need to give her another $250 deposit. Outrageous! Nobody in their right mind would use a photographer who would not honor their client's original deposit. Don't let the family friendly / down-to-earth façade of her blog fool you....Heidi is all about bottom lines. As a self proclaimed "wife & mom", Heidi should understand that life happens and sometimes, we are not able to make time for a photo session especially in the midst of an important event...like a wedding. If you are looking for a photographer with a high level of integrity and goodwill, Heidi is not that person. There are so many other photographers who are far more talented but more importantly, honest and accommodating.

Joanne photographed our elopement/wedding. She went above and beyond in her work by capturing small…read moredetails (like our flower arrangements and signature wedding cocktail display) , then by guiding us throughout our venue space for flattering poses with fantastic backgrounds. What we appreciated most was right after our ceremony we asked Joanne if we should head downstairs to take the posed photos, but she encouraged us to take time to ourselves and just savor the moment. All the while she got beautiful candid shots of us as newly pronounced husband and wife, smiling and laughing together. Afterwards Joanne was very speedy to get back our results and we were able to share images from our special day soon after!

Janet is absolutely amazing! He came across Janet's site during his search, and we've been very happy customers ever since! Our 1st shoot was me, my husband and our then 4 year old. 2nd shoot was a family maternity shoot. And we're looking forward to the next with our family of 4 :) Janet is super nice. She selects amazing locations. She's very easy to work with. Does a great job working with little kids. Often gets our pictures back to us sooner than her initial estimate. Has a great eye. Example: She was placing us in certain poses for a particular shot. Honestly, it felt very awkward, but she said "Just trust me. It looks really great." Low and behold, we get the shots back and it was our favorite out of the entire shoot. Janet simply radiates positive energy and happiness... We took our engagement photo session at the Water grill because we love lobsters. It was a super fun session. We then went onto the beach and took more scenic shots. Considering my husband is not a photo lover, he really had fun throughout. He gave into my asian genes and took over 2000 photos with me during my engagement, pre-wedding and wedding session :D Janet being so amazing definitely made that happen. Many guests on my wedding day complimented how professional Janet was - they told me she was not invasive, but working hard to take candid shots. Honestly, how often does your guest specifically compliments or notice your photographer?! Wow x2 The outcome of the photos were incredible. We had over 2000 photos for the wedding. Janet surprised us with a beautiful photo box as well of the highlights photos. I plan on having her as part of our future journey as well capturing our lives as our family grow. She says her wedding prices start at $6K but then says that wedding packages are around $8-10K bc of everything you need for the wedding such as albums and additional hours of coverage I think. I was willing to meet with her to see what type of services she provided... my first email from her was about 3 weeks ago and still no followup email when I inquired when is the best time to meet. I'm just really disappointed and had to share my experience with my yelpers...as I was so hopeful for this one. I'm sure she is great once you hire her and also a great person...but maybe she is snobby in terms of who she works with or responds to. In her website it says her prices are not negotiable since she does only few select weddings a year. Sigh... As some of you may know, when you are planning a wedding, you are on a time crunch. Have to book the vendors so that you have people that are available for your date...so the delay in response was a total turn-off. Luckily, I was able to find a photographer who is more responsive and does beautiful work! If you are interested to know who that is, just contact me! Their prices are more reasonable as well. She's really easy to talk to, whether in person or via email. I LOVE that she responds to emails with lighting speed, even on weekends!! It is obvious that she is passionate about her work. She cares about her clients and she makes them feel like they are her ONLY clients. She does a range of photography work from wedding, family/baby, boudoir, etc. Caroline's fun, creative, detail-oriented, artistic photographs will capture you but it's her bubbly personality that will reel you in! My fiance and I only met with ONE photographer and It only took one meeting with Caroline to convince us to book her for our 2010 wedding. We're actually flying her up to the Bay Area for it. Jana and her team were incredibly professional, upbeat, energetic, and a dream to work with on the day of the wedding (not to mention the day of the engagement photos a few months back). I want her to be my friend, my sister, and sometimes even my mom. She is truly that special and caring. Kathy made our wedding day beyond amazing! I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid in a wedding that Kathy shot last summer. I was able to see her work for 8+ hours that day and knew I really liked her at that point. Once I saw the gallery from that wedding, I knew I HAD to have her for my wedding. During our initial meeting with her, my husband knew exactly why I wanted her to shoot our wedding. Her passion and talent are unmatched! When she arrived on our big day, she immediately lit up the room and everyone could feel her energy. Her assistant Gabby and she got to work immediately taking detail photos, dress photos, getting ready photos. One of my bridesmaids commented "wow...she is really good" after about 5 minutes of seeing her work. She is incredibly creative and makes everyone feel special and beautiful! So after booking the wedding photos with her, I went on the search for a wedding photographer. She sent me a LONG list of suggested photographers, and I was on a quest to find the perfect photographer for our big day. As someone who works at weddings as a coordinator, I always tell everyone who will listen that you can cut corners and and prices on most things, but you should DEFINITELY bite the bullet and get yourself a coordinator and a great photographer. The first because it'll make your life SO MUCH EASIER on the day of your wedding (and no, your cousin or uncle should NOT be your go-to person on your big day); the latter because at the end of the day, the only thing that lasts are your photos. Honestly, 10, 20, 30 years after the big day has come and gone, your memories are not going to good enough to remember the little details. Looking at Paulina's website, I immediately fell in love with her detail photos. To be able to capture something as simple as a ring or even a pair of shoes in the colors and angles she did... I knew that I wanted to meet her. And when we met, I knew I wanted her to be there on our big day. The hubs and I are both rather awkward in front of the camera (Where DO you place your arm? How do you avoid the squishy mouth look when you're holding a kiss? Sigh...). Paulina was so warm and genuinely loved her job. She was so excited to talk about her past weddings, and her eyes lit up when she spoke. I really appreciated that she was thorough in her preparations leading up to the wedding, and on the day of, she was so loving, encouraging, and so happy to just BE there...
