My main gripes about this place is that they are not friendly or professional. Their phones are…read moreonly open from 10-12pm. You cannot expect that your call will be answered. If you are lucky, a woman will shout into the receiver, something to the meaning of "What do you want?!" You then make a first appointment to meet with a midwife and show up at their practice. There are midwives running around who stop for half a second to look you up and down, raise their noses to you and then walk away. I had to stop a few to ask if the woman that I had an appointment with was there. She was 20 minutes late...German punctuality is something you can usually count on and I've been reprimanded by snubbed Germans for my 5 minute delay. The meeting goes alright and we schedule a second appointment where blood is drawn. I have massive 3D blue veins, for which I was grateful during my blood drawing courses in community college...However, this woman completely missed my vein and then fished side to side, slicing my arm open to try and get it. She tried another vein and sliced it up also, but succeeded in collecting blood. Amen. I had blood - not just a bruise, running freely into my arm that both ran up my arm and down my arm from my inner elbow. Another issue is that it is a surprise who shows up to deliver your baby. There are eight women working there and any TWO of them will be there to deliver your baby. So that woman in the hallway that was too good to tell you where to sit and wait for your appointment might be the one overseeing your birth. Although you have a list of cell phone numbers, that doesn't actually mean that you get to speak to a human. I have only once received a person when calling their cell in the 6 months that I was in their care. The doctor that my blood work was sent to - Dr. Conrad, seemingly is never open. I have called there several times to inquire about my results but have only ever gotten VM. Then I call the practice which is um, closed or the line is busy and then the woman who drew the blood and all just VM. It's maddening. They were not friendly or welcoming, they do not seem to have a firm understanding of basic nursing skills, they are unavailable - unless VM is acceptable to you and they have no sense of professionalism or responsibility to lone pregnant women who enter their practice (How are you? Do you have an appointment? Would you like an appointment? How can I help you have a nicer day, pregnancy and birth...? None of that.) I would have given one star but Ruth made a serious effort. Of the others working there....They need to go back to school and get their heads examined if they believe that their behavior towards the "guests" in their practice is hospitable, courteous or professional..
