Unless you are lucky enough to find that amazing, one-of-a-kind doctor who totally clicks and just "gets" you, chances are that the doctor you do end up seeing will have positives and negatives. I found that to be true here.
The main reason why I decided to visit this facility is because the doctors speak English and there was actually availability for new patients - there is nothing worse than needing to be seen for something semi-urgent and being told that the place is booked for two months.
Luckily I only had to wait a week or so before getting in for an appointment. I went with Marta Berger as opposed to Dr. Hasert, because her availability was better, and I simply tend to prefer female doctors, particularly when an appointment involves any kind of clothing removal.
Making the appointment was easy enough; I did so online and circumvented the entire awkwardness regarding the language barrier. On the day of, I showed up early and was greeted by a super full waiting room. Like other reviews suggest, this place is busy, and I did have to wait about five minutes to be helped, and another 10 or so before I was seen. But it wasn't super horrible, and I brought a book.
The receptionists didn't strike me as unfriendly. I got a lady who speaks German and.... Russian I think? When I informed her my German was not super great, she spoke slowly and clearly and we ended up understanding one another fine.
As for my appointment, Marta Berger was friendly and competent. She addressed my skin issue and gave me the appropriate medicine to treat it, and gave me a new prescription equivalent to my one from back home that was running out. If anything, I was surprised at how formal it all felt - sitting and talking over a desk before anything else. Also, the appointment was quick - it took maybe five minutes? I think she was in kind of a hurry, but I was happy nonetheless, because who wants to spend any time longer than necessary in a doctor's office?
All in all, I am not falling all over myself to recommend this place, but my experience was truly not bad at all. Particularly if you are looking for an English-speaking dermatologist, give this place a try. read more
