I was really pleased with location, facilities, service and food. It was also quite reasonable and value for money is very high. The hotel is located in a rural area and right on the Wisensee in Westerwald. A beautiful area and the hotel facilities are very good. The room I had was facing the lake and had spectacular view of the lake and the villages surrounding the lake. The bed was comfortable and staff were always on hand to help when needed. English is spoken here but a little bit of German will get you far. The golf course is an 18 hole membership course but if you stay at the hotel you can play here without a Platzreife (Golf license) and it costs €55 for 18 holes. The course is really well maintained and has a full pro shop and restaurant. The food here is pretty good and the service is also ok. The ladies in the pro shop are very helpful and welcoming of guests. The food at the hotel is good and I had a chance to eat dinner and breakfast. The breakfast buffet for €8.50 is probably the best breakfast I have seen in a while and quite inexpensive. The choices are plenty and there is also a good amount of hot food. The dinner I had here was also good. As I was at a function there was a buffet and the food was great. My favourites were the Lachstatar and the spare ribs. The vanilla Eis they served for dessert was homemade with real vanilla pods and was spectacular as was the plum sauce to go with it. All in all a great stay and experience and I would come back here anytime and explore the region a bit as well.
