It starts with a horrible door politic. They create an artificial long que, just so the club looks busy from the outside. This is extremely annoying on a hot and sunny day, were all you wanna do is go for a quick dip. Secondly, the stuff steals money of their guest. They simply tip themselves without giving you the chance to decide for yourself if you'd like to tip. I mean in the end, its up to me to decide if I'd like to tip someone or not. Thirdly, the place is ridiculously expensive. 5.00 Euro for a lukewarm beer, served in a plastic cup is far from acceptable. Fourthly, I expected a buzzing pool party. Well, I was wrong. The party was soon lame, you wouldn't believe it. No one did anything, but trying to look cool. It felt a bit like a bad high school party, were everyone is to nervous and cautious to be themselves. Was there last night for a hip hop party. Really nice location, spacious outdoor lit pool, open sky above, brick walls. Inside's a full bar and large dance floor. Upholstered seating, tasteful, subtle interior design, original graffitied walls. Dancing was much fun, pretty good crowd, no stress. However, given how large the club area is - and the outdoor area on top of that - it's hard to have it all be filled really. Consequently, a door policy is non-existent outside of rush hour (1-2am). In other words, I would've liked the crowd to be more coherent. But they're gonna get there. Huge plus is that the barkeepers readily serve tap water. Shouldn't be exceptional but it is. Gotta stay hydrated in between drinks and dancing! I'll be returning. read more

WISH I had known about this place sooner!!! Urgh so cool. Infinity edge pool in the middle of berlin with nice lounge chairs and a bar. SO cool. Went here for ice cream market and wish I had known that there was a pool here so that I could have brought my swimsuit along, too! I want to go back. Highly recommend. read more

We made a reservation of a private lounge for a Bachelor party which was confirmed via email. When we went there the bouncers refused to let us in. They said we did not have enough girls in our group (duh! Bachelor party) and it would upset the male/female ratio. They did not care about our reservation even with printed proof. It nearly ruined our day. I would not recommend anyone getting a "reservation" there since it is worthless. read more

Very curious about this place we thought of having some drinks here. At the entrance it was written 5€ as a DJ was playing. So we were thinking if we should spend this money. As we agreed on going and passed the very serious security guys the lady at the second entrance said it costs 12€. Very confused we said that the door sign says a different price they were kind of rude and saying there is a live act which was published on the website. But as a tourist only strolling by, how the hell could we know that. Very disappointing experience and even other people we met that night made the same experience. Went for a new moon party event advertised on Facebook, I have no idea where they filmed the promotional videos, but it was nothing like advertised. The venue is decent enough with its pool and such but the showrunners don't seem to have any concept whatsoever of customer service. I dozed off on a day bed next to the pool, the scene was so week, wasn't even drunk because they were only serving at one of their like five bars. They woke me up to kick me out which is fair enough, but halfway to the exit I told them hold on my cellphone and wallet are in my friend's purse and let me tell them I'm leaving. They grabbed on to me to let me out and didn't let me back in after a 15€ cover. Eventually found someone at the entrance to tell them in German. I had to ask that nice guy I met outside to call the police for me, and only then was I able to get inside and saw my friends where I had fallen asleep worried about leaving without me. Really don't get they're whole treat the customer like shit policy. PS : the security point crossing the street wasn't much help with anything either, they just told me to get the police and closed the door on me when I explained the situation. read more

If I were to compare it to the choices one has in Berlin (not much) this place would be a four star fab, but the 3 star is fair if I were to compare with places I have visited worldwide. It is clean, cheap, and trendy, with all the cool people going there. However, beware a narrow-minded, slim, straight haired, blond tatooed bouncer who stands at the door and searches your bag to see whether you have food in it. I once came at the door, and had the last bite of food in my mouth (not even in the bag or in my hand) and the narrow-minded bouncer told me to munch elsewhere and come back when I am done (school sergeant style). The second time I came, I joked with him (not remembering he was the dim-witted bouncer) about having melted ice-cream in the bag (obviously a joke), but he did not understand (even though I told him I was joking) and he said that I am not allowed to enter, although he looked into the bag and saw that all is okay. In Berlin, there is a culture of bouncers who do not have a grip of their own lives, and no power at all in general, but who land a job as a bouncer, so they act mean and belittle people to make up for the weaknesses in the other aspects of their lives. Just take this fact into consideration before you joke (also Germans, especially Berliners, can be wonderful people, but they do not understand dry humor so quickly). Keep that in mind. Otherwise, it is a nice place. PS: If you get the impolite insecure bouncer, and he gives you a hard time, and attempts to belittle you before going in, immediately tell him you don't need him, and go to Badeschiff, a couple of stations away, it is also cool, and you'll enjoy it equally (because why would you want to cope with bad customer service, especially when you're over 30 and you're used to paying for your comfort?). read more

Worst place i have been to in Berlin after living here for 6 years. This is my first bad review but i feel like i must warn others and tell them of my experience at Haubentaucher and also what many of my friends have experienced there also. Some things like high door cost, high priced drinks, long waiting line, poorly mixed cocktails and long waiting times for service and orders are nothing compared to the overall cleanliness of the place. glass in sand volley ball court and pool bottom, the water had a strange layer on top and it felt like dirty water when i went in for a swim. I don't judge the crowd that was there but the vibe seemed a bit classless and like people wanted to look cool. Also they don't pay there staff and the owners no about it i will never come back there and warn others not to visit this scam artist club. read more
