He came in on weekends to do the work so it would fit our schedule. As well when I pointed out a few small areas that hadn't covered well the first time, he repainted the entire room again free of charge. There was honest, open communication throughout the process and Cad and Ash were also professional and a pleasure to be around. Now they have taken on more projects than they can handle and instead of communicating and letting customers know that they do not have time to complete what they started, they just keep giving false hope that they will finish. I gave them two extra months to finish and barely anything has been done in that time. The bathroom (the only bathroom in the house!) that they said was 9-days work still isn't complete, and the work they did do has to be fixed because the plumbing rough-in is wrong. They will argue there was a delay and that is true, there was a delay - but that was in May and after that they still reassured me they would be done July 31, and then August 31 and then extended again to Sept 30. This is a rental property for us, so we had to disappoint wonderful potential tenants that were interested in renting the house. As of today, October 7, framing and rough-in has not been completed yet. The house is a huge mess, they left garbage everywhere. I gave up on them finally because it has to be completed this month and they were still lying to my face. We are going to roll up our sleeves and do it ourselves and hire reliable contractors for the parts we cannot do ourselves. You may ask why we didn't do that in the first place but it was because we were fixing up 2 other rental properties in that time - those 2 were completed on time and have been rented. I truly hope if you decide to hire them you have a better experience.

Then had to get him back three times to fix it. Looks horrible and mostly he stained over dirt or mold. I find it funny that all his reviews are good I find that hard to believe.... Not professional at all. Staining is horrendous and patchy. His touch ups made it worse but glad to be done with him. Do not hire this guy. RUDE and tried to blame me for bad weather washing away his staining. PLEASE. He then handed me a bill for paint owed. WE held payment back till he touched up stairs again. I finally paid the bill in town and explained to paint store why we did not pay. They were shocked. No guarantee on decks he said. I would expect at least 1 week. Look at the pictures for yourself. Do your research and hire a professional. Our mistake for not asking for referrals or his work. Barr's came out the cheapest by quite a bit when comparing the same products. I still trusted them because of their 30 years of service in Newcastle. I contacted them through their website and had a response from Corey very quickly. He was able to provide multiple quotes for the different products I had asked about in a very timely manner, and had multiple local houses with the colour selection that we liked (based on his recommendation) so we could see the actual product in use. Despite the rainy season we've had, the installation came sooner than expected and the job was done completely to full satisfaction. Corey communicated with me regularly via email so I was up to date on schedule and progress.
