They refused to take my VERY simply paperwork-divorce request because the ARAG program apparently doesn't offer proper compensation for them? Makes absolutely ZERO sense. Anyways, I've copied/pasted what the office emailed me, hopefully this helps from wasting more people's valuable time!- "After careful consideration, we have decided not to move forward with ARAG. While we did evaluate the collaboration, the difference in fees ultimately does not align with our firm's approach or the level of service we believe is necessary for completion of a divorce in California. When you look at the complexity required to process a divorce, even a simple one like yours, the level of service required far exceeds the fee ARAG offers."

However, from my very first meeting with George I felt at ease as I could tell that not only would he fight for me, but that he had the skill to do so successfully and I was right. George is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and prepared, and his awareness of a newly passed local law helped tremendously in my defense. My charges have been resolved and if it were not for George's proficiency in law and steadfastness in advocating for me I am not sure that would be the case. I was impressed to find an attorney who was not only tenacious in his approach to law but also easygoing, compassionate and reassuring. I was a wreck during my case but George's warm demeanor always made me feel at ease and able to voice my questions and concerns to him free of judgment. He is an excellent and reliable communicator, was straightforward about all the possible outcomes of my case, and always responded promptly whenever I needed to reach him. If you need a diligent and adept criminal defense lawyer in the Santa Cruz area who truly cares about making sure you receive a favorable outcome in your case and will do whatever it takes to make sure of that, look no further than George Gigarjian. I cannot thank him enough for all that he did for me.

We shall see with the outcome of the case. Although; After having worked with him for several months (it's been 7 months since the case was opened); I have, in-fact, experienced a slightlack of compassion & caring, some perceived rudeness and an all-around disinterest in my opinion/statement, etc. - I am trying to chalk it up to my intensity surrounding the situation and charged emotions on my part. I am keeping my fingers crossed and a hopeful attitude that he will be successful in representing me and receive the outcome that I'm hoping for. I will update my review once my case is closed and my business with Mr. Janecki is completed. I do regret however (in any regard-not this one specifically) not doing more research prior to picking an attorney. Working with the SCPD, any court system, and God forbid; charges against you- it can be traumatic and overwhelming and because of that, I frantically picked the first person who came up on Google. SO; just as a suggestion for anyone involved in anything that goes to a judge, a district attorney, or a courtroom, (esp if you lack knowledge regarding your rights and how the system works): DO YOUR REAEARCH, do thorough research and make sure you find someone that's a good fit for you, your needs and the case at hand!! Good luck!
