He and his team…read moreprovided me with superb counsel throughout a very difficult divorce which was contested by my ex-wife. He was professional throughout, always ensuring that he had my best interests at the forefront. I recommend Terry Spencer and will use him in the future. And regarding the review from "Meredith W" from February 15, 2020, the person making these comments is actually "Margaret Wakeham". She is a former Utah attorney who-according to the Court's Divorce Trial ruling-currently lacks the skill to practice law and has been reduced to working part time in a dog kennel. Further a Vocational Expert, Dr. Kristy Farnsworth, was hired by Mr. Spencer in the Wakeham Divorce case. Contrary to the false statement made by "fake news" Meredith W. , the Vocational Expert sided with Mr. Spencer's client causing "fake news" Meredith W to subsequently fly into fits of rage and scream that she is going to appeal the Court's Divorce Trial ruling. I am aware that Mr. Spencer has taken hundreds upon hundreds of cases to trial. Over the years I found Mr. Spencer to be one of the finest attorneys in Utah - who will stand up for a client even if it means "fake news" reviews from vanquished and understandably angry losing opposing parties.

Proceed with extreme caution - review public bar records before hiring…read more If you are currently evaluating Terry R. Spencer for legal representation, I strongly urge you to look beyond any initial sales pitch and thoroughly research his official state bar disciplinary history across Utah, Idaho, and California. Public records from the Utah State Bar, Idaho State Bar, and the State Bar of California paint a deeply troubling picture of professional misconduct, including: Multiple Suspensions: Formally disciplined and suspended in multiple jurisdictions for professional misconduct, including unreasonable fee structures and dishonesty. Lack of Candor to Tribunals: Found by courts to have engaged in conduct involving DISHONETY, FRAUD, DECEIT, or MISREPRESENTATION-- California State Bar as "Not eligible to practice law in CA" The court documents and disciplinary records speak volumes about a pattern of unethical, financial abuse, and a plethora of court violations.

Her level of emotional intelligence is incredible - she immediately understood the complexities and nuances of my case and all the players. I highly valued her approach to "take down the temperature" when emotions were ramping up and to bring emotional support, factual clarity and a drive for desired outcomes for all parties. It was incredible to watch her work on multiple dimensions all at once - I think she's at least 50% ninja to achieve the results she did. I will always recommend Ashley to anyone who is leaving a tumultuous and dangerous situation, dealing with the complexities of the military.

I live in New York and hired Nick Gottwald to represent my brother in Salt Lake City. My brother's…read moredivorce was anything but straightforward. The financial issues were complicated, the history was lengthy, and there was an overwhelming amount of documentation to work through. From our very first conversation, it was clear that Nick was not interested in taking shortcuts and making assumptions--and I knew I had found the right attorney for our case. He listened. He asked important questions. He wanted to understand not only the facts, but the context behind them. Nick never argued first and figured it out later. He sought understanding first--and that's what made him such an effective advocate. By the time we got to trial, Nick knew the case inside and out. That preparation, coupled with his keen understanding of the law, allowed him to represent my brother with confidence, giving weight and credibility to every argument he made before our judge, and ultimately achieving an outcome that exceeded our expectations. On a personal level, Nick was responsive, calm under pressure, compassionate, and genuinely invested. He treated us with kindness and respect, earning our complete trust. I'm so grateful that I chose Nick Gottwald to represent my brother. Words fall short of expressing my appreciation for his hard work and unwavering commitment from start to finish. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I'd hire Nick again in a New York minute.

He seemed all right at first, and all I wanted and still want is a fair deal and to be able to be a parent to my children and not be harrased by my ex. He has put me in a bad position in every possible way. I am confident I could not have gotten a worse deal for myself. During the several months that I paid him more than my mortgage payment, he conveniently 'forgot' about certain issues that he should have been working on. When I would ask him about these his response would be "I wasn't sure if you still wanted that". He might as well have been representing the other side. When I told him what I wanted in a settlement, he literally asked, "why should [the opposing party] accept this? that's not what they want" and pressured me to just roll over and not fight for my own rights, instead of finding an argument for my side of the story. Also, you should know that Eric can be very rude and downright mean as mentioned in other reviews. If you disagree with him, he will proceed to speak louder and louder over you until you give up. People who overheard our conversations could not believe the way he spoke to his clients. After he insults you in person or over the phone he will promtly write an email denying talking that way to cover it up and make sure he looks good on paper. Lastly, there were frequent problems with his staff not knowing what was going on, sending me old emails that we had already discussed or calling to ask questions about things that had been resolved weeks prior. Extremely disorganized and lacking professionalism. Google reviews are higher but businesses can now purchase a service that screens bad reviews. I wouldn't trust those ratings.
