I first met Lauren when I thought I wanted a Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles spaniel & Poodle mix) …read more We went to see her puppies, but my husband thought a Cavapoo would shed too much. We had Cockers for years and really loved them. Talking to Laurel, we decided to order a Maltipoo (not even bred yet). She had such extensive knowledge about every breed she has that we both felt this was a better choice for us. She is so VERY careful with her breeding schedules that the pup would not be available for a few months. If she ran a puppy mill, she would have at least tried to talk us into a puppy she had available right then. Our puppy was born later so we went to see her and she was darllng! When she was old enough, we picked up the little bundle of white fur. She was perfect. Smart, affectionate...just what we wanted. She had been vet checked, given first shots, microchipped, etc. Laurel made sure I knew how to care for her, gave me a generous supply of food to last until I could get some for her. We never had any health problems because Laurel knows about all the possible problems and has the pups checked to know they are OK when they leave her home. We got along great until my precious baby was 4 1/2 years old. She got out into the dead-end lane in front of our house, was hit by a truck and my worst fear happened. She didn't suffer, but I did! I searched for rescue Maltipoos and Maltese, but people don't rehome Maltese often because they are so wonderful. I called Lauren (I was crying for Beatrice and so was Lauren) but she had 2 Maltese girls from her last litter. Again, the puppy was perfect and helped fill that hole in my heart. We also have 2 older rescue dogs and my new baby loved them. Sometimes too much. They would rather sleep than play sometimes, so now we have 2 darling litter-mate girls that are cousins to the baby I lost; they have the same grandmother Beatrice had. I even see some of her mannerisms in them. They entertain themselves and us with their antics and our older dogs get their sleep in. My sister also lost her dog to old age about the same time we lost Beatrice and ended up getting a Cavapoo from Lauren, too. She is perfect for my sister. Someone on this website made a comment that she thought Lauren had a puppy mill, but there must be more behind the story because nothing could be further from the truth. Lauren is very careful with her breeding program, retiring her breeding dogs when they reach an appropriate age, Her dogs have good food, recreation, love, room and a place to run and enjoy the outside, and are well cared-for. She always has dogs in her home with her. NOT ONE DOG is forced to spend their lives in tiny cages with little food or water and no recreation. I know this because I went to her farm to see for myself before I would get a dog from her. Anyone who thinks differently is sadly mistaken. I have fostered dogs for an animal rescue near me for several years and have seen dogs that come from those terrible places. I won't go into any details, but I have shed tears just seeing how hey have been so extremely mistreated. I have told many people about Dreamcatcher Hill and will continue to do so because I don't think anyone could be more concerned about their animals and the homes they are going to than Lauren at Dreamcatcher Hill. Sorry this is so long, but I had to let everyone know that though I'm not a close personal friend of Lauren's, I feel privileged to have found someone who cares so much about their puppies so I can have such smart, well-bred companions!

Laurel was very helpful when he had some transition issues to my home and made some recommendations on how to get him over the hump and start eating. Worked like a charm I would recommend Dreamcatcher Hill Puppies.

I went here on Good Friday, my first ever visit. I went to check out some retired breeders. I…read moreworked with the owner, Roger. I have to say, from the beginning to the end, Roger was nothing but amazing!!!!! He was soo nice and helpful. He and Dylan went above and beyond while I was there. Everyone was extremely nice. It was an 1.5 drive there and Roger, provided excellent directions throughout. We took another route home which was only 45 minutes thru north county. Yes, they are breeders. There are babies who I assume live in the house whom walk around loose, a good 10+, whom are extremely nice and loving. I purchased a 5.5 year old golden retriever from here and I would gladly rescue another older golden from here again. The majority of the fur babies reside outside and are not house-broken or trained. They are outside babies and will need patience and love. She was not up to date on shots. They use old school methods regarding flea/tick control. They keep the nails trimmed. I asked if they would wash her before we left and he gladly obliged. My baby has quickly learned to live inside, she is still learning of course. She has the sweetest temperament. Roger, assisted me, but ultimately she chose me and I chose her. She is absolutely beautiful!!!!

DO NOT TRUST!!! On September 24th I paid a $600 deposit for a MALE shihpoo to pick up on December…read more3rd. I Confirmed multiple times about pick up date. Had her send me a couple pictures of the MALE throughout. I sent final payment of another $600 6 days before pick up per her request. A total of $1200. The morning of pick up at 12:30 a.m. She messages me to let me know that the GIRL is sick and I can't pick up today. I messaged and called her. Told her It was a male and she tried to tell me it was a female I paid for. I told her I had screen shots of our conversation stating it was a male and I would be down after work. She said ok. A couple hours later I get a message stating she doesn't have a boy, he died a couple weeks ago. Saying she "messed up" I have tried calling and messaging multiple times since the message to no answer. **UPDATE- She has told me unless the "money falls from the sky" she does not have it to pay back. I have no dog and now out $1200. I am a single mom with two kids and have saved a long time to get the dog my daughter wanted and have nothing. There are multiple problems with her story: 1-If you thought I had the girl, and the boy died, who did you call to let the person you thought was getting the boy know?? 2-Has the people who are actually getting the girl not contacted you for pick up?? 3-If the dogs were sick and having seizers a few weeks ago, why wasn't I told of this before I sent the final payment?? 4-On November 15th, I confirmed the pick up date and asked for a pic. On November 20th she sent me a pic of my dog. On November 27th I sent the final payment and on November 28th she messaged that she received it, NOT ONCE DID SHE TELL ME THE DOGS WERE ILL!!!!! Suddenly 7 days later my dog died A FEW WEEKS AGO when both of them went into seizers. And again I was never told, I had conversations with her, had her send pics, and nothing and she accepted my money with no comment. Until 12:30 a.m. the morning of pick-up to tell me I could not pick her up because she was hyperglycemic and having seizers for weeks and she had to get her better. And then argued with me until I said I had screenshots of our conversation saying it was a boy. 5. When I did talk on the phone the morning of pick up to let her know I had the boy and not the girl, after stating I had screenshots of our convos and I would be down at 5p.m. to pick up, SHE SAID OK! Then suddenly 2 HOURS later there is NO BOY, he dieda few weeks ago! Why did she say ok when I said I would be down at 5?? ALL THE WAY AROUND she was DISHONEST!!!!!! I know have to go through the process of filing a civil suit with the court to attempt to get my money back because she refuses to do so.

Paid $2000 fro a month of dog training. Then got hit up for an e collar that I was told cost $215…read more Went back next day to get an e collar and they tried a switch and bait wanting to charge me $285. They train by shocking the dog. That's lazy so called training. And paid extra for unleash training which doesn't work unless you shock them. Taking my dog to a real trainer that doesn't use a shock collar and I get to be involved not just a for an hour but every class. Save your money and frustrations. There are less expensive real trainers that don't use E collars and you don't have to board them.

Prior to sending my dog Connolly, I read every single review I could find. I didn't sleep a wink…read morethe night before he was dropped off and even shed a tear or two. I can now, without a shadow of a doubt, say sending him to Sorenson was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Connie has jumped out of a moving car (luckily turning into a driveway), broken a plate glass door, and threatened to rupture ear drums with his piercing demand barking to name a few. When visiting him for his coming home training, he was truly a changed dog. He was calm, attentive, and eager to show what he learned. THIS was the goal. I have trained my previous dogs, but had finally met my match. I am so confident that he has the tools now to succeed and expand his world by getting to go places and meet new people. Max was our trainer. I highly recommend him and suggest you request him. When I went for MY training for how to continue this work at home, it was clear to see he loved my dog and my dog absolutely loves him. Connolly is an Irish Setter mix and stubborn as heck, for him to adore the person who has effectively stopped him from being a little tyrant speaks volumes. Max gave us detailed instructions as well as amazing photos and updates throughout Connie's stay. It is clear that this isn't just a job for Max, dogs are his passion. He did the arduous task of training Connie and it is now up to me to reinforce all that he has learned so he doesn't lose it! So person at their wits end with the dog they love, I hope this review calms any nerves you may have about sending your dog to Sorenson for training. Ask for Max, I promise you won't regret your decision!
