I have sold two homes and purchased two homes using Shelley and Doug at the Lyman Station Group…read more They are the consummate professionals - taking care of every detail, walking you through each step of the process. Their knowledge of real estate runs deep. On our first sale I had a lengthy list of items I thought needed to be changed about our house before we could list the home. Shelley came in for an evaluation and helped me sort out the must-do items that buyers would be interested in. In a hot market our house sold within 24 hours of listing for full asking price - which was higher than I ever thought we could get. When we sold our second house I knew we needed to use Shelley. The housing market had cooled some, but with proper marketing and dogged determination Shelley quickly moved the property. Both buying processes went just as well. Shelley listened to our needs and, now twice, has found us the perfect home. She is an aggressive negotiator and worked hard on our behalf to make sure we paid the right price for our new home. She was there all the way through both closings and basically held our hands until she placed the new home keys in them. I don't plan to move again for awhile, but if I do Shelley and Doug will be the first - the only - people I would call to get the job done.

They are sharp, on the ball, know the trends, and more importantly are able to navigate the insanity of the 2021 housing market. I should clarify the current state of things because this is likely going to look a whole lot different later if/when the bubble pops. The early 2021 market has a pent up demand from the pandemic, low inventory, insane competition when buying, over-asking offers 100% of the time, and super low mortgage rates. It's a perfect storm and the biggest sellers market in a long time, and you have to be a savvy buyer to say the least. Years ago I used a different agency and realtor who was nice. Nothing against him, but he would've gotten figuratively eaten alive in this current market. This time, we were able to find a house and get it under contract within just a few weeks into our search which is almost unheard of. Good guidance, staging, and strategy across the board. I'd definitely recommend working with an agent on the KB team and feel fortunate the way things have shaken out for us in this Hunger Games, musical chairs housing market.
