I wouldn't review a grocery store, but my last visit deserved a review. I usually stick to my got to Trader Joes, but sometimes HT has a great sale and I just need things from a more 'traditional' store. This location being close to my office, it's really great to grab some things on my lunch break or after work. The other day, I went in to get a few things I needed for a recipe. I got what I needed and a few items that were marked BOGO that I normally wouldn't buy, but since they were on sale, I figured why not? Once I checked out I noticed that both of the BOGO items I bought rang up for full price, I normally wouldn't have said anything, but since they were spur of the moment buys, I figured I would ask customer service. Who knows, maybe I read the sign wrong. The women at customer service, Lisa if I remember correctly, greeted me right away and asked me to show her where the products were on the shelf ( since I had the items I bought in my car already). Turns out the items were BOGO but they rang up incorrectly. Lisa was very apologetic , which was kind, but it wasn't her fault at all and she gave me both items for free. I guess this is Harris Teeter policy. Who knew!? The great customer service, clean store, convenient location will keep me coming back when I need a few things after work. Thanks HT. read more

The store is clean, the new renovations are amazing, the produce is fresh, the gluten free section is GREAT. My biggest complaint is the staff. Holy cheese sticks, must they all be so CRABBY!? I realize working in a grocery store is not an ideal job, but good lord, that doesn't give you the right to act like a sour puss. The disrespect that I've encountered is astounding. I've been blatantly ignored by someone when I approached them. There have been some instances when I'll ask a question and the person working there sighs in response. The times I've gone through U-Scan have been fine, unless I need to show ID and actually involve the staff member there. Oh lord, yes, life is hard...standing there, playing on your phone, staring off into space dreaming about getting a nose job. Girl! Wake up and look at my ID! The last 3 times I've used U-Scan it's been the same girl. Bored, indifferent, slightly grumpy. I think my most unnerving experience was a few weeks ago. I ran in to get a few items around lunch time. I was tired, was sick and had no make up on, and just wanted to fly in and out. I had 4 items to buy. As I was making my way to U-Scan (keeping my head down, trying to avoid human interaction ) out of no where this blurred figure comes swooshing up on my right side. "Ready to check out!?" I look up and see this elderly woman standing about a foot away from me. I responded, "I was actually just going to U-Scan." And as I began to continue walking, this woman GRABS THE ITEM I WAS HOLDING IN MY LEFT HAND and says. "Oh I can get you here!" Excuse me, but I have a very strong aversion to being touched, especially by a total stranger, it is extremely inappropriate to just take something out of a customer's hand. She starts scanning my things and then in a huffy tone asks for my VIC card. I was fumbling for them partly because I was sick and could barely see straight, but also because I was experiencing mild anxiety from being touched. She seemed irritated that I didn't have my VIC card out and ready for her. Sorry, but you ambushed me! I paid and left quickly. read more

This is for the Sub Shop. You get rewarded for the subs you buy, after 15 sub purchases, you get to enjoy a free one! Well this sounds nice except for the mess and sloppiness you endure while trying to eat the sub! They fill their subs with entirely way too much philly meat which breaks the sub apart, which then becomes a sandwich, and then soaks the bread making it soggy! Be sure to have a fork handy when ordering their subs, it's a hit and miss. I order online for the convenience but I see I will have to stand in line to let them know I only want one portion of meat! I really wish they would make their subs better to not fall apart! read more

I can't say enough how much I enjoy coming to this particular location. Could it be the excellent customer service, the consistently fresh produce selections, or the food bars which houses the Off The Chain chicken wings!! I'm quite sure there are better places to dine during lunch but for me and my half an hour lunch I pick them Hands Down!! Pick up a plate, dinner for home, and not late for work. Standard fare, as far as a grocery store. Slightly nicer than most Kroger brand grocers I've been to. Fresh produce.

I only have good things to say! Most of the staff are very friendly, and helpful! Every time I shop in the store I always feel welcomed and appreciated. The staff always wants to ensure you found everything that you were looking for. They go above and beyond to ensure Everyone has satisfactory customer service and an excellent experience the bathrooms have always been very clean! I don't know if is the location of this hairs Teeter but the customers that are there in shopping with you as well I'm very nice and courteous excuse me please thank you have a great day etc. this is pretty much the only place I shop for groceries at this time overall very pleased read more

Most clean, organized grocery store in Charlotte! Employees are very accommodating & helpful, very easy to find your way around the store, products are always fresh, and the VIC card saves you lots of money making the store extremely affordable! read more

I don't typically do the grocery shopping but when I do its always done at this HT. I am more often at their sandwich counter though! Fantastic service and a sandwich that puts Subway to shame. Great value for money with their daily specials, always makes for a good lunch for me and the wife! read more

Disappointed at the customer service - my daughter went on a while tenderloin run for us Tuesday evening. It was the last day of the sale and we decided on steaks for the evening. She didn't see anyone at the meat counter but found someone nearby that apparently was supposed to be assisting the meat shop. She told the guy that we needed a whole filet trimmed and cut. He quickly told her that they stopped cutting at 7.. She informed him it was 6:45... He asked if she really needed it cut or not. Obviously she told him yes and showed him the instructions I gave her. This guy, did not get his name, went and found someone that came back and cut them. My daughter was put in an odd situation and definitely wasn't comfortable. We spent $78 for the tenderloin but the way my daughter was treated was not up to the standards we know Harris Teeter has.. I can tell you that I would not have been treated the way my 20 yr old was for a normal request. Not would I have put up with it. Perhaps they cleaned the machines early. But that's not our problem. This Teeter is not coupon friendly. Tried using coupons during $2.00 doubling coupon week and they got upset that I knew their policies better than they did. The next day went back to do more shopping and was also shopping for my 70 year old mother in law and they red flagged me, pulled me to the side and said I couldn't use her e vic card because I wasn't on my mother in laws card. Told them I was shopping for my mother in law and they told me that people just make up names on cards. I asked them how that is possible when they use a valid drivers license to issue the cards. They got angry and now I'm not allowed to shop for my 70 year old mother in law because I'm good at couponing. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAME BOB AT HARRIS TEETER! read more

Saturday, Jan. 31 Just had an unpleasant experience at this Harris Teeter. I was at the pizza bar a little before 7 p.m. tonight. The slices that were left looked a little sad but I decided to get two for my husband and myself. The lady behind the bar was busy and after several minutes without her acknowledging my presence, I thought maybe she hadnot noticed me standing there. I was thinking about maybe calling out to her but instead looked at my phone and decided to wait 7 more minutes until 7 p.m. and then just leave if I had not been waited on by then. She most have seen me glance at my phone because she was seriously upset. She snapped at me that she would be with me in a few minutes. I said okay in a mollifying tone of voice because she appeared so angry at me. Meanwhile the gentleman that also worked at the pizza bar was wandering around the buffets aimlessly as if he was trying to kill time. He looked up at his fellow associate's sharp tone, saw me and just kept on wandering about. I was thinking what is going on here? Harris Teeter obviously set up the pizza bar to sell pizza. why are these people so rude to me when I just want to buy some of the pizza they are selling???? Finally when it became obvious that they had no intention of waiting on me I walked away. Guess they showed me. read more

Five stars for the layout and food. Two stars for the unhelpful staff. Their customer service does not hold a candle to Publix. Other than the hot meal meat cutter at the front of the store. Only visited him twice, but he is great! read more

Amazing staff! I particularly enjoyed the Starbucks in the store. They were all very helpful and kind. They were also very efficient at getting my order done in time so I wasn't standing around waiting for very long. Would definitely encourage everyone to try this HT Starbucks, it's the best!! read more

We used to go to the Stonecrest store because it is so convenient to our home but started going to this one after my neighbors told me how this one is so much better. It is. The deli is huge and the premade salads like penne pasta w/spinach are always available. I could never get Stonecrest to stock it. Their Asian bar is absolutely wonderful and extensive and they make the best crab rangoon we have ever had. (wish they would have containers of ginger sauce to go with their fried/steamed dumplings) Here is where we have a contention-just like the Stonecrest store, on the regular food bar, they cannot cook beef unless it is hamburger. It is always tough. I have learned if you cannot cut it with the large metal serving spoon then don't buy it. They have "chefs" that don't understand that a tough cut of beef needs to cook more than an hour to be tender. Don't they test it before they set it out? Isn't this what chef's are suppose to do? Last time it was their Beef Stroganoff-it looked so good but I could not cut one chunk of beef with the spoon. It should melt in your mouth! Also they USED to make the best ham-I mean a regular real ham with a glaze. They started taking deli ham and cutting it into chunks and cover it in a glaze. NOT nearly as good and just not right. Also they had some kind of pasta/meat casserole that was WATERY! For heavens sake, you have access to the best ingredients and ovens and this is the best you can do? That is nuts! Please fix these basic things so we can try more goodies on the bar! read more
