After some minor paint damage happened to my car, I took it to Dacus for an estimate. They…read moreperformed the estimate and sent it to me, and then I provided it to my insurance company - all good so far. After insurance processed it, we received a check for $500 less than what the claim had been. I called the insurance company to ask why this was, and they said that Dacus had agreed to do the work for the lower price, so with my deductible and the check they had sent I would be good to go. I called Dacus to schedule to work, however they surprised me: They said they didn't care what they had agreed to with the insurance company, they would be charging me the full price on the original estimate, and probably more, and I would just have to eat what insurance didn't cover. Thankfully, I called my insurance and was able that check voided (it was addressed to the body shop), and found another body shop that agreed to do the work at the price that Dacus had agreed to do it for before they tried to make me pay the original estimate price out of pocket. The insurance company had the documentation that Dacus had agreed to do the work for that lower price, email trail and everything, so Dacus apparently thought they would just agree to the lower price and then get some extra money on top out of me. No thanks.

But he immediately turned his back on me! I am now involved in a lawsuit with a company that let me go because they didn't want to pay for DOT inspection repairs. When I asked him for the paperwork for the truck that I was responsible for, he refused. (He should have automatically given to me at the time of service.) He said, that he "didn't want to get involved" and that the paperwork of the trucking company, even though I was the driver and legally deserve to know the mechanical and safety problems of the vehicle. Now, because of his action, he and his company are now "involved" in this case. Based on my experience, be careful getting into any legal entanglements with this guy, he will NOT help you!

My family owned Wichita RV for the last 20+ years. In 2020 my mother, Mary K. Algrim died, and in…read more2023 my dad, A. Kent Algrim was murdered. Less than 1 year later Wichita RV had to be closed because the ganeral manger, Dale Fischer, after being trained to take over for 10+ years, decided he would rather take the money and run. This man whom my father trusted implicitly, in less than 1 years time, gutted my family's business. He didn't pay any taxes, not even payroll taxes. He sold units and pocketed the money, didn't even pay the financing company. He, and several others who worked there, paid thousands of dollars for personal items with the company credit card. The Shop Manager died from a heart attack due to being convinced he would be going back to prison as soon as someone found out about the "other" bank account where Dale was funneling checks made out to Wichita RV and using it to pay for personal items for himself and other employees. Wichita RV closed the doors because there was zero money in the bank. He couldn't even make the final payroll checks, the account was over drawn. My severly disabled brother & I used the money our Mother left us to pay the final payroll amounts. The property that Wichita RV was on has been sold to a very nice man from Nebraska. He will be opening another RV store in that location. ​​If you ever meet Dale Fischer ask him how it feels to rob elderly people, disabled people, and customers who trusted him. Ask him how it feels to be responsible for the shop managers death, a man whom he said was like a brother to him.
