We opted for a switch to Lincoln City Eye Clinic and were very satisfied with the professionalism and thoroughness of Dr. Amy Van Heel and all the staff. My only advice would be that they book well in advance, so don't wait until the last minute to get an appointment, because it won't likely happen here -- seemingly very popular. Took my husband there for an eye exam for new glasses. They charge way too much, never gave us a…read moreprescription, and then referred us to another high-priced doctor in Salem for an issue with his retina. We have spent well over a thousand dollars between both places with no resolution with the swollen retina, except that he will need cataract surgery (no referral for that, though). As my husband is British and waiting for his green card, he has no insurance, so this is all out of pocket. We are retired and this is quite a hardship. The people at the desk were quite brusque and when I inquired about an appointment for myself, they acted like I was looking for a handout (I have insurance). I will never set foot in there again. Ended up going to America's Best in Tigard for my eye exam, which only came to $65 instead of $160 at Lincoln City, plus I was treated courteously, got an appointment quickly and now have my new glasses without getting ripped off.
