I trust them and listen to their advice. I have had botox, fillers, body wrapping, skin rejuvination, teeth whitening.to name but a few, my hair has never, ever looked so great. I even have lovely new nails. This a specific review is for Jen at Debbie Stevensons hairdressers…read more As you could see from my "Tip" on Debbie Stevensons I am one of those peeps who like the same hairdresser to cut my hair everytime as I feel that they know what I want and I've given them the big DOUBLE thumbs up on the test of cutting my "precious" locks. So this review is for "my" hairdresser at DS. So yeah, Jen is awsome! She knows what I want and satisfies my style requests errrytime! She's also cool as! and is a super friendly person. Maybe because I've became a more familiar face we have a lot more to chat about, but when I throw back to the first time chop, it was just as A-Star as the current times. So when she returns in September 2013 and you find yourself needing a gents or ladies haircut then I'd recommend Jen. In the meantime I'll have to scout out a replacement other than the one off GC's (Girlfriend Cuts). \\ S O M E I N F O O N DS // - DS prices are quite competitive for the hyper Hairdresser filled Linlithgow High Street and being located right bang in the centre (at the cross) is ideal for finding the salon. - At £10 for a gents cut is pretty good going and as far as free Teas & Coffees go, I'm pretty sure if you asked for one they would give you it. I do see some clients sippin' the herb when having longer services done. - They also have a lot of products for sale there. I recall seeing Fudge, SP, and some others. Oh and on that note, Jen (again, I know!..god), we got chatting about Fudge products and I told her the texture and stuff that I would like and one that I had seen online and she said she could of ordered it in for me if I wanted it - Another great service. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - \\ O N A N E G A T I V E S I D E // Another reason I felt that I should write this review was due to another member of staff at DS who I reluctantly booked myself in for when Jen was away on Maternity leave. I had seen this stylist the last time I got my hair cut and he was a new face to the salon. When I judgement day came, I was sat down in the swively chair in front of the class mirror and after some initial chatting it was discovered that he used to be a stylist and was just filling in for Jen as she was on Maternity leave. The time taken to cut my hair is usually about 20 minutes and is a good amount of time I feel for this. This time however the haircut only seemed to last for around 10 minutes and I felt the quality of time and effort wasn't seen when cutting my hair. It was very rapid chopping without any real care or attention happening. It did feel that he was rushing things. - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - \\ D O N T F R E T T T H O U G H // So, I don't actually want this to discourage people from going to DS as I was using this as an example of how some stylists can let down the reputation of other great stylists (in my point of view). If it wasn't for me having prior experience of Jens cuts then I would not have returned to DS after the latest cut. So if you're a regular at DS then let me know what you think and who is your primary stylists, and if you're a newbie then let me know how your experience was, either with another stylist or with Jen (come Sep 2013 when she returns). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cheers, sap

My first visit was with Gerry, on arriving he took the time to listen to me and my concerns. He talked with me about my cut and hair colour and made me feel at ease in DS. After my first appointment I was so happy with the transformation of my hair! I have been back to DS quite a few times now to have my hair cut and coloured by Gerry, each time im sooooo happy with the results :) DS has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the staff are all so friendly and the free tea and chocolate biscuit are such a great touch! I now find myself looking forward to my visits at DS with Gerry as he has put my faith back in hairdressers and I even enjoy him washing my hair! Can't wait till my next visit!

Something of an unusual and pleasant surprise, especially so at these fairly reasonable prices! As mentioned above, it's a small and local hairdressers. Both the exterior and interior are bright, clean, airy and inviting. The staff are extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and more than happy to chat away at length about the best treatment for your hair. This is something that I don't encounter enough and truly appreciate due to my curly and/or frizzy hair that doesn't react well to any types of dye. At all. Meaning that usually no matter what hairdressers I go to, I end up coming out with basically the same hair do. If not immediately then certainly after a week of washing. Anyway, I've got a good feeling about this place. Though, I will hold back on elaborating further seen as I've only actually had a chat with the staff and arranged an appointment. But keep a look out for the review update. I've got a good feeling about this one. It may even beat my Hair Design review...

Yes, I'm being lazy, I could do it myself, but it was mum who suggested as she was heading down anyway to get her hair done. I phoned up and I said I have my own hair dye, my lovely uber bright pink, and they said that would be fine and could fit me in that same day. Yay! I was overjoyed as it saves me from becoming very pink and all the cleaning up afterwards. It's like Dr Suess' Cat in a Hat. Hehe!! I've not been to this hairdressers in years as I'm always a bit weary but I have to say they did a fantastic job. I did ask the girl if my hair was as splitty as I thought and she said yes and showed me, so I said just to trim it as well. She asked me how I would normally dye it and how long I left it, so she did what I would normally do, which was great. I am super happy and my skin is pink free. Yay! I do feel bad for the girl who had to wash and blow dry my hair, I could see her fingers going pink. Ooops! Sorry! All in all it was £30 smackers but then I did get a cut and blow dry. It was cheaper as I supplied my own £2.99 dye. It'll be interesting to see how much they charge without the hair cut if I decide to go down this route again, which is extremely tempting.
