Where do I even begin with expressing how satisfied we are with Atty. Holly Peace? From the very…read morebeginning to the FOUR YEAR end, Holly was there in every way possible! There was never a phone call or email that wasn't promptly returned. Holly was always upfront and honest with my son about his case and what was going on. Though she promised him no miracles, that's EXACTLY what she delivered in the courtroom when things finally came to an end. Her mannerism and way with words more than resonated with the judge as he allowed a slight smile to grace his face before he gave my son EXACTLY what Holly asked for, "probation vs taking him away from his kids and sending him to prison." As I have said several times before, "A million thanks to you Holly, for always following through, working so hard for us and never letting us down. Please know you are GREATLY APPRECIATED!" I'm new to Yelp so please know I give Atty. Holly Peace FIVE STARS IN ALL AREAS!!!

After completing paperwork (signing tons of paper) it's almost 2 months and my son has not recieved therapy. No follow up calls; you have to call to check up on them to ensure they're doing their job! Each person that answers the phone appears to have laryngitis or just super nonchalant or they're possibly answering the phones from a nursery filled with sleeping beauties. When I called to follow up on a start date for treatment, I told the staff member "Ebony" no one from the therapy office called, she appeared to be astonished. Why? She should not have been surprised as she told me later on in our conversation that she had not obtained the police report! When were you going to call the client to let them know you were unable to obtain the police report? Ugh! *(Fast forward) I called again, today to speak with the the Attorney, she was not in the office so I left another message. (I left one last week with "Ebony" but you know, she may not have delivered my message). When she does call, I would have already sought another office for services. Guess, I'll let her know at that time. *(Gut feelings) I actually walked the entire lot looking for the office on our first visit; I wasn't provided a "bldg letter". (The office was hiding itself from me, to prevent me from experiencing grief as others have expressed). Business owners... Do you not care about your business' reputation? You're staff's customer service skills? The community you serve? Reminder: You cannot thrive if you don't have happy clients! One star received---requirement to post.

He really cares about what he does, not only as an attorney, but as an advocate for those that need to get their truth out there and innocence proven. I've been represented by this law firm twice before this case and had a great experience, so I felt…read morecomfortable enough to work with them again. Unfortunately, communication has significantly deteriorated to the point where there virtually is none. Because of this, I do not recommend them. No one is rude when you speak to them, but the issue is speaking with anyone. Outside of my initial intake and maybe 1 or 2 calls within those following weeks, I could never get anyone on the phone, to return my calls, emails, or text messages. When I'd call, the majority of the time it would go to voicemail regardless of the option I chose- case manager, operator, attorney. I couldn't get anyone. If I did get someone on the phone, it was never my case manager. I would explain to the person on the phone (likely an operator) that I had questions or would like an update on my case. This person couldn't answer my questions but would give me the information to my case manager, which I already had and had been trying to reach out to, and this information was relayed to the operator I spoke with, who of course couldn't do anything about it. I didn't know what to do at that point. No matter how many voicemails I left my case manager, emails I sent, or text messages I sent to her direct number, none of them were returned. If I got a call/text/email from Shane Smith it was because of something they needed, wanted to tell me, or a promotional email, never a return call from my countless number of voicemails, emails, or text messages I've sent over the last 11 months. To go through my entire case with no forthcoming communication was exasperating, to say the least. I've referred my friends and family to Shane Smith and to get treated in this manner, especially after having them represent my cases over the last 12 years, was beyond disappointing. I don't anticipate any accidents in the future, of course, but if I have one I will not be represented by Shane Smith Law.
