Welcome to the happy world of Haribo! This Haribo factory outlet was my favorite stop during my visit to Solingen. I wish I could say I watched the candy come off the conveyor belt and in to the store but sadly we were not allowed to tour the factory. The prices are very cheap and half price of retail, for example 100g of gummi bears cost about 50cents. The selection is so comprehensive. There were many flavors and candy types I had never seen before and also limited editions. Packaging also came in various sizes so you could buy tubs of candy or just small packs of candy. They also sell Haribo merchandise like clothes, cups, towels, etc. The store is the size of a small park, and it is filled with the same happiness in the form of sweets. The place of course is all about Haribo and you can get anything they produce. It's "heaven" if you like Haribo. They even have some special editions. All the candy come in different sizes, you can get bags or boxes. They even have a self service bar with loose candy. Unfortunately they are not cheaper than the supermarkets etc. Some public authority ruled that they cannot sell much cheaper than the supermarkets. So for me it doesn't make much sense to drive all the way here just to buy candy. Nowadays you can buy most of their products even online. read more
