Negligent and Hostile…read more This is a Hare Krishna school located right next to the temple in Alachua, Florida. We wanted to love the school but had to remove our child after several red flags. This school has repeatedly demonstrated gross mismanagement, punitive policy enforcement, and a culture of hostility toward parents. Key issues include: - Retaliatory classroom removals of young children for administrative/technical errors. - Harassment by staff via aggressive, unprofessional communications - Failure to maintain functional compliance systems (repeated iPad failures) - Leadership enabling a toxic environment (director ignored formal complaints) - Misrepresentation of state regulations to justify harmful practices. Documented Violations & Legal Concerns 1. Harassment & Defamation The secretary (GP, legal name RN) is very unprofessional in her communications. She emailed us things like "Not even by courtesy you guys call back... you leave us in a limbo place." 2. Breach of Contract The school has Ipads as a sign in system. Parents are required to sign in children. Parents sometimes leave the school and when home, they get a call from the school saying: the ipad sign in didnt work and you have X minutes to come back or your child will be removed from class. Our child was removed from class and placed in the secretaries office. Our child later asked if she had done anything wrong. The school uses a broken system to shift liability onto families while violating Florida's childcare standards for operational reliability. Instead of fixing iPads or training staff, they weaponize compliance to mask negligence. Advertised "Montessori values" conflict with reality (deceptive trade practices under FL Statute 501.204). 3. Negligent Supervision (FL Statute 768.81) Teachers routinely accept children without verifying sign-ins. Kid's are admitted without sign in's and removed without double checking sign outs. A tragedy in the making. Director admitted iPad system is "unreliable during peak hours" 4. Educational Neglect (FL Admin Code 65C-22.001) Removing children from instructional time for non-safety reasons. Failure to provide trauma-informed care after punitive removals. 5. FTC Violations (15 U.S. Code § 45) Undisclosed removal policy hidden from enrollment documents. False claims about "state-mandated" procedures. Hostile Communications Email: Secretary demanded immediate callback about paperwork while our child was sick, writing: "We need to submit this documentation" with no inquiry about child's health. iPad Incident: Blamed us for their tech failure: "Kindly wait until the teacher gives you the green light"--despite teachers unable to verify signatures. Director's Complicity The director VD. (legal name DA) Ignored 3 written complaints about secretary's conduct. Approved secretary's email tone : "We stand by our team's approach." Refused to provide written removal policy after 4 requests. This school violates Florida childcare regulations (FS 402.305), consumer protection laws, and basic ethical standards. Avoid unless you want: Your child used as leverage in compliance disputes Staff who prioritize paperwork over pediatric well-being A director who enables bullying tactics
