We went to Algonquin for the long weekend and saw this place on the way up and decided we HAD to come back to it on the way home! When we pulled up the place was packed! Tons of rainbow signs and displays very colourful. Inside is kind of small looks more like a house turned store. I'm not gonna lie.. The prices were so inflated I was honestly flabbergasted. $20 for a 12pk of cherry coke? Holy moly. I know, cottage country... They don't sell cherry coke in Canada which means it's imported from buffalo. But wow. The tiny "bags" of candy $5+ . Needless to say we didn't get much. I like the $5 surprise bags tho, those are definitely worth it. We also picked up some airheads, double bubble and big league chew. They also sell memorabilia stuff like mugs, tin signs, bobbleheads and such. Cute place to stop off on your way to/from the cottage. I give it 3 1/2 stars

Fun place to stop if you are looking for glucose, sucrose, dextrose, maltose, lactose, or fructose…read more Wildly crazy selection of candy i hadn't seen in ages. My only complaint: candy bags were often large (250g) when really, all I wanted was a few to taste. I don't need a pound or two. My dentist is rich enough as is. I don't need to finance his new deck. I suppose the bag size would be fine if I had self discipline. But as I write this I'm slowly slipping into a diabetic coma. Also sells some neat collectibles and memorabilia.

At certain hours of the day, you can even watch the employees make the candies and they're more than happy to explain the process to you as well. I was told that you can even book mini classes as a birthday party, perfect for little kids to have fun while making something they can take home for later to enjoy. Parking in this area is sub-optimal as within mid-town, you have to opt mainly for Green P at $3 per half hour.

Instead, I purchased several representative types of candies which all impressed me. It was the sharp, assertive flavors that blew me away, including the lychee! (Usually such a passive flavor but not here!) Even the blackberry was scrumptious. Then I made out like a bandit with their "Oops!" bags by the kilo! Lots of flavors! Fun to mix and match! Then one day when I had nothing better to do, I skimmed through their offerings (which keeps on changing) once again and discovered their custom lollipops! Yay!!! I immediately purchased their cherry, their biggest and best! The colors are flavored wonderfully, but the white ribbons are a wonderful, more sour version of a maraschino cherry, it was heaven on a stick! I was so glad I bought fifty! A true all-day sucker! Well, it took me that long just to finish one off, that is. I love working with these people. They answer all my questions quickly and efficiently. All purchases are through PayPal. They pack each of my lollipops very carefully to prevent any cracking, and their ziplock baggies for their old-fashioned candies are easy to seal and store. They have many themed candies, most with complicated yet artistically fashioned centers. Their lollipops are carefully crafted so that they are evenly balanced without the sticks (real wooden ones) are not improperly inserted. I can only imagine what kind of promotional candies they could make for businesses. All my purchases have been through the Canadian Post Office without any delays. Don't allow international shipping to persuade you otherwise from doing business with these folks. Most of mine was done during COVID-19 quarantine, and boy, were they a mental lifesaver! Give them the business!
