I ended up going to two different pottery places on back to back days. So this review is going to…read moretalk about the pottery place, as well as comparing it to the other competitor in town. First the positives, the space is clean, and the employees seem to truly care that every customer who comes in has a good experience. Tables were quickly cleaned up after guest left, and there was plenty of paint to be found. The turnaround time on projects is fairly quick as well. The negatives, this is a much smaller place so, if you happen to go on a busy day like we did on a Saturday morning, you may be standing and painting your pottery. There is an option to reserve a bigger table in the back, but 1) you have to put a deposit to hold it and 2) if your party ends up not being big, they may ask you to move to a smaller table in the front. Also, this selection of pottery to choose from is much, much smaller than the other pottery place in Chattanooga. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty to choose from however, if you want to paint some thing pretty specific, I would call ahead to make sure they have it. Also, their prices seem to be on the higher side. A small tree with the lights was a $55.

Paint colors and brushes galore. It was intense watching our table full of family with a birthday celebration creating their unique pottery. I can't wait to see the finished result in a week! I registered for the class which was $45 and was to be on November 19. Well I suffer from sever seizures and on the night of the class I ended up in the emergency room after a pretty bad one. The next day I emailed the AR Workshop and explained my situation. Which is very embarrassing for me to discuss with strangers. I wasnt asking for a refund. I only wanted to get a $45 credit to use for a future class. I was still very excited about go there. I recieved a reply to my email the next in which I was informed that they were very sorry about my situation and they were glad I was ok but b err cause it was a guest speaker she could only give me a credit for $10. I guess that is better then nothing but it very bad customer relations. It seems like a business that prides itself on being a locally owned would but a little more effort into supporting their local customers. I was very sad and disappointed by the whole situation and I dont think I will make any kind of effort to use that $10 voucher but I appreciate them being sorry for my situation and glad that I am ok.

We did need a gift for folks were were visiting nearby, and we had just eaten at the restaurant up the street, and we had to walk by, so why not take a look, right? I called again on Saturday morning and they got me right in for a cut, color, eyebrow wax and pedicure. Tyler and the teacher helping did a great job on my hair. I wish the color was a little more red but I'll know for next time. My eyebrow wax was also well done. However, my pedicure is another story. The girl sat down and said she was going to time herself to have it done in 25 minutes. What? 10 minutes in she was ready to put on the base coat. She cut my nails (unevenly) and didn't file them. Didn't remove cuticles or calluses. I told her I had to go and didn't let her finish. The school was very nice and only charged me for the cut and color. I recommend for hair but not for nails!
