I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Dog Pawlour in Fort Collins. Before my dog's…read moregrooming appointment, I was very clear and explicit that a sensitive area was not to be shaved. Despite those instructions, they shaved it anyway. Since the appointment, my pup has been visibly uncomfortable, agitated, and appears to be in pain. As a pet owner, it is heartbreaking to see your dog hurt after trusting a groomer with their care. What is most frustrating is the lack of accountability. Aside from saying "sorry," there has been little acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation or responsibility for ignoring clear instructions that resulted in my dog being injured. I am sharing this so other pet owners can make an informed decision. Please be cautious and make sure your instructions are followed if you choose to bring your pet here.

They make sure they are altered, have vaccines, microchip and any other care that they might need prior to adopting them out. They also are good at doing reference checks to do their best to make sure that the animals will be going to a good or appropriate home for them. As a volunteer, they have been wonderful to work with. i have 2 teens that i volunteer with and their lives have been much enriched by being able to walk the dogs. The staff at animal friends is friendly and helpful. And the training provided beforehand helps them to know you are committed to coming and being a regular at their facility. They took some down time for covid but have since began opening up volunteer slots. We highly enjoy working with them and i know many people who have adopted from them and loved the process!

She hates people touching her feet, she hates people touching her head, and she hates being brushed. Awesome. As a last resort, we reached out to Michelle and explained our situation. She is a miracle worker. Sure, Melissa needs a little (humane) muzzle but Michelle lets me hold her and she is able to trim her nails. Yesterday, Michelle trimmed a little matte out of Melissa's hair (she has one soft patch of hair on top of her head that gets tangled- sigh). Our other dog, a chihuahua, is easier to deal with but, nonetheless we will NEVER go to another groomer as long as Michelle is in business. We are eternally grateful to her!

While we were out in Fort Collins, we figured to grab new things for the hellhounds at The Mausoleum. This place had some good rolled cheeks for a reasonable price, and it is their favorite.
