The holiday rush makes it really hard to move around in this store. Everyone seems to be buying stuff for their Sari-Sari stores and for their parties for Christmas and New Year! Hence the lines are pretty crazy. Luckily today the express line was open. Otherwise, I'd have lost at least another half hour of my life waiting to pay.
We buy all kinds of stuff here--snacks, toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, shampoo, Dove soap, cleaning sprays, etc. They have American brands as well as Filipino brands. You can also get canned goods, condiments, ice cream, tomato sauce, pasta, different kinds of sugar in various weights (kg), rice and etc... You'd have to go to the Palengke if you want to get any fresh items like meat, fish, vegetables and fruit.
I had to stock up on some stuff I need in the States like Sinigang mixes, Ube and Buko Pandan extracts and Dried Mangoes. So much cheaper here. A third of the price you pay in the US! My luggage is gonna be pretty empty when I head back home, so there's lots of room. read more
