I got a piece of that soft cake with caramelized coconut topping and it was so yummy and not too rich. It wasn't an easy decision as everything looked delicious. On the weekend, they had baked goods for sale right out on the sidewalk in the main pedestrian area of Odense. They offered up free samples of their chocolate rye bread. When you walk inside, you get to see the bakers at work, rolling and kneading dough, and get wonderful wafts of the cinnamon and dough. You really cannot go wrong with anything they sell. Grab a coffee and sit and enjoy. They also sell a few sandwiches, but we never tried them.

Having a texture that seems to be a mixed of bread and cake, topped with a layer of caramelised burnt sugar and butter, this was a new yet welcome experience for me.
