I felt unsatisfied and still hungry after the meal. It wasn't terrible, just mediocre. The people working here were nice and friendly, I'll give them that. I was amused by the cook singing along to Britney Spears on the radio. This would have been a three-star review, except -- I saw that there was a Yelp check-in offer for "50% off 2x1 smoothies" (which is poorly worded). I pointed it out, and after much confusion, I am told that the "promotion" was specifically for a passion fruit smoothie, which turned out to be much too sour for me to finish, let alone drink two of. And the price for said beverage came out to be around 75 pesos (I forget the exact amount), almost twice what they charge for a fruit smoothie of your choice. That's a promotion? No, that's called a bait and switch.

The Food: The wedge fries had the distinct taste of being fried in stale oil and were also very undercooked. The tortilla soup tasted like nothing but tomatoes from a can with extra salt, and the temper burger was literally tempeh thrown in the fryer, nothing "burger" about the preparation. Iced soy latte was SO bad that after I left I practically ran to Cardinal down the street to wash out the flavor with a properly delicious, excellent, spectacularly prepared using best ingredients (I could go on), true cup of iced coffee. Great vegan food is very hard to find in Mexico City in general, so Im always happy when I see some options available. But not when they taste like this.
