For those that are curious about why I loved this place, please read on and I hope my words can encourage you to try out their amazing Asian food. I've been to Noir countless times, and it's always been easy to have a table there. Most times, I went in without a reservation, and there were still plenty of seats to choose from. The atmosphere felt calming and touched upon Asian motifs that helped beautify the restaurant, including cherry blossoms and Japanese characters on the walls. Japanese food is my favorite kind of cuisine, and I did live in Japan for a year back in 2020, so I was always up to try the food served at Noir. Many I already recognized and favored highly, such as the gyoza, miso soup, and yakitori chicken. But, I still tried new things like the crunchy sake sushi roll and osaka balls. I'd have to say my favorite dish was the crispy chicken/duck curry bowl. It was rich in flavor with a bed of white rice, vegetables, and coconut curry. It's hard to compete with such a dish. The curry bowl was large enough for me, but be mindful that most of the food on the menu are served in very small portions. You may get three pieces of shrimp tempura at most and a small bowl of soup. Sushi can vary, so I wouldn't be concerned about that, but this is the best place to go to when you want to share your food with friends- similar to tapas. My only gripe would be the drink sizes, as they seem way too small for one person to have. It could be a marketing strategy to get you to order more drinks, but I refused to do that and would have a bottle of water in my purse to get me through the rest of dinner. The service was good, with several English-speaking waiters. You wouldn't feel out of place if you came here with no German speaking abilities, if anything, you'd curse your stomach for not being large enough to consume more delicious food! Noir is a restaurant that I will miss dearly. Their items were well-made, service was nice, location is great if you want to leave afterwards for some dessert (there's many dessert places with cake & ice cream nearby), but most of all, it was an inviting space that allowed me to share beautiful moments with my friends. I taught them how to use chopsticks, some Japanese lingo like what they say before they eat (Itatakimasu!), and my personal favorite memory: I got a very picky eater who was strictly against eating Asian food to LOVE sushi. If you want to create special memories in Germany within a cool establishment with tons of yummy dishes to share, then Noir is the place for you.

The meat was perfectly cooked and juicy, the bun was crispy without being dry and all the ingredients just came together so nicely so that it was party in my mouth. Instead of regular fries, I went with the "Pommes Spezial" and I really liked their special sauce on it. With 10€ for the combo (burger, fries, drink), prices are definitely fair. Service was friendly - no complaints here. Now I am just waiting for them to add mushrooms and avocado to their menu as well so that I can award them the 5th star too... ;-)

The waiter, an older swarthy Mediterranean looking man with white hair, claimed he didn't understand English, which was clearly a lie since the previous year he took our order in English. We had to order our meals in Italian, which was not a serious problem but he responded arrogantly to our attempt at ordering the food in Italian. The food is in this place is good, but the kind of treatment we got at the place was unacceptable. I suspect he made the assumption that because we were Americans we were Trump supporters and treated us in a very sub-par fashion. As a result I am lowering my rating to a 1 star. My advise to the owner of the place is to make sure his waiters conduct themselves with proper decorum and address all the people at the table with civility. My initial rating for this place was much higher, but a 1 is all I can give it for now.

Seine Meinung zählte auch ausschließlich und meine leider gar nicht. Ich hatte freundlich reklamiert und die anwesende Servicekraft hat zuvor auch sehr kompetent und serviceorientiert reagiert. Dafür ein großes Lob. Der Barmann hingegen sollte vielleicht noch einmal das 1. Lehrjahr an der Berufsschule wiederholen. Das Essen an sich ist sehr lecker dort, wir werden aber nach dieser Erfahrung nicht mehr dort bestellen. Geldverschwendung. Unfortunately no recommendation. A snail on the pizza , which probably got up there together with the fresh aurugula leaves was after(!) the corpus delicti had been disposed of, reinterpreted as a mushroom by the barman present. His opinion is the only one that counts, and unfortunately mine doesn't. I had complained in a friendly manner and the service staff present had previously reacted in a very competent and service-oriented manner. Big praise for that. The barman, on the other hand, should perhaps repeat the first year of training at the vocational school. The food itself is very tasty there, but we will not order there again after this experience.
