She is wonderful but when a bride brings her dress in for alterations and is told there is nothing that can be done ... not very impressed.

Ridiculous! I needed a vest let out and a clasp replaced on a shawl. She asked why I needed the vest let out. Really! What does it matter? Ok, well some things change after having a baby. She then proceeded to tell me that she couldn't do it because she does too many of these kind of vests. On the shawl she said she could not add in a replacement clasp. I honestly think she only takes work that she wants to do. Not a true seamstress and very unprofessional. I instead took my items to "I Love to Sew". This seamstress didn't make me feel bad and was able to do all of the work requested. read more

If I could, I'd give Han's a 10 star rating! She is amazing in her customer service and work. First, I asked when she'd have my alterations ready since I was hoping to get my pants hemmed for my business trip in a few business days. Yes, I was praying. She asked when I needed it and I said I was hoping by Monday (I gave it to her on a Thursday) and she said how about Tuesday? I paused and thought about it b/c I was leaving on Tuesday and then she said it's okay, I said Tuesday b/c I'm closed on Monday. Then she said I'll have to ready tomorrow! My jaw about dropped to the ground. I asked are you sure? She said oh yes, you need it so I'll have it ready for you tomorrow. I thanked her profusely. The following day, I called her and said I was running late due to work but will get there as soon as possible. She was so sweet and said kindly "don't rush, there are many schools with kids in the area. I'll be here." I am astounded by her caring nature and being so accommodating to her customers. I can tell you this. She's got a customer for life. Oh and the best part, she charges a much better price in alterations than many other places I had originally called. I can be rough with my garments....whether it's breakdancing, muscles bulging out of a shirt, doing the splits, or eating a belly-busting meal, my clothing lives a hazardous and dangerous life. I like my clothes [[ most of 'em ]], and instead of taking them to the Goodwill [[ a fate for some clothes, like my ill-fated attempt at wearing hipster skinny jeans ]], I took stock of my wardrobe, and pulled out clothes with busted buttons, missing buttons, and torn seams. I bagged 'em and trucked them over to Han's Custom Tailoring in Pasco [[BIG THANKS to Leaf & TH for posting helpful Yelps about this tailor]]. The woman here took a look at what I had, and took four out of five of my items (one sweater was missing nearly all of its buttons, and she said she wouldn't be able to do that one). She asked if I could pick up my stuff the next day (Yes, she works quick), but I was leaving town for Turkey Day, so I opted for the following week. She was fine with that. Now the woman who works here is not Han. He's moved on to a business in Yakima. The woman working here now has been here for the last nine years, but this business has actually been here for several decades! (a sign of their excellent work and reputation) As for my resurrected clothes, the ones which needed buttons were done with no problem. The problem child of the bunch was a guayabera shirt I loved dearly (it's white, with colorful embroidery. It was super tattered). There were so many broken seams on this shirt, and it had seen better days, but it came up nearly new after the seamstress' handiwork. All of the work came out to $20 (most of it must have been for the tattered and battered shirt). I love being able to support a business like this. A business which is a superhero. A superhero for all the downtrodden clothes which yearn for another life. Until I get a sewing machine, and learn to sew buttons, Han's will suffice! I went here a 2nd time. I was a month late picking up my stuff, as i often am because i am a ditz. The woman was really nice about it, she had sewn my little slip and my sash got re-attached to my robe, and she charged my practically nothing. I feel almost guilty. The person that works here is a sweet-heart. I came in and had a couple of items that needed repair in a matter of a few days. Basically, my request was a rush order because the amount of work she has to get done is astounding. And rightfully so. Her work is immaculate. I came into Han's Custom Tailoring today because I'd seen good things about them on here. I'm starting a new job tomorrow and needed to get the new pair of pants I bought for it hemmed. Hans was wonderful! She told me to come back in 20 minutes and she'd have them ready for me. Lo and behold, 20 minutes later, they were ready and looked fabulous! Plus it only cost me $9.00. I needed to have a blazer altered so it would be more fitted. Tailor was very friendly and did a good job for $50. It was easy to find and parking wasn't an issue. I wish tailor business in Tri Cities would be open on the weekends but I would go back here again for more clothing alterations. read more

I was asked to be in a bridesmaid in a wedding with a month to go. I called the lady at Han's because the company the dress was bought from werent sure they could do the alterations and if they could it could take up to a month....The lady at Han's said she could do it no problem and within a week to a week and a half. She quoted me a very decent price for the alterations($55) considering she had to take off length on the dress and alter a few things around the top of the dress as well. It was the 19th of June when i dropped off the dress and she had it ready and waiting by the 28th of June. She was very quick and when i got the dress I was very impressed with her work. The dress is beautiful and it looks and fits more beautifully on me than it did before. She is very good at what she does and she is very nice. I will be recommending her to family, friends and anyone i come across that needs alterations done. read more
