If you're an individual whose taxes are pretty simple, like you don't have 79 dependents and 3 new homes and whatever, then go see my girl Diana. I had a good experience with Henton & Associates last year, however, this year I did not. I was in…read morea hurry to have my taxes done because I was trying to secure a rate lock on a home loan and my lender required my tax return (to use my rental property as income). I was told it would take 2-3 weeks to have my taxes completed, so that is what I expected. When I emailed my final tax documents over I asked to please forward my taxes back to me as soon as they are available and said why I was in a hurry for them. After 4 weeks I sent an email asking for an update of the status. I didn't hear back so after 6 more days, I sent an email asking someone to please respond to my previous message. Someone responded back later that day saying that my taxes were in the mail that day, which was good, but it took 5 weeks total. Interest rates are climbing quickly right now and this also delayed me in being able to start looking. It was frustrating. When I received my invoice, the cost had gone up by 28.5% from last year, which no one had previously mentioned to me. It doesn't feel good to pay more for a lesser quality experience. I emailed them last week after receiving the invoice to let them know how I felt and even outright asked them to consider discounting the cost and didn't get a response. I paid the invoice today, so that I could post my review. Will never go back!
