I came to hanger clinic for a neck collar for cervical instability. They were so easy to schedule with and called my insurance during the appointment so I could take the collar home that day. Kyle has obviously worked with other people with instability; he was very helpful to talk to. I would definitely recommend not giving this business even one star. I needed a back brace and my health care provider Kaiser Permanente provided me with a referral to Hanger ( in Reston va) for a back brace. I called Hanger and they denied knowing of any referral for a back brace. At this point I'm sick of dealing with this moronic business. They never called me back. Kaiser Permanente should stop referring patients to this provider immediately and find a reputable provider for prosthetics and back braces !! read more

I know as "patients" where we go is usually dictated by our insurance company. if you go here, be sure to CYA big time... Get the "work in progress" bill signed by the tech making the brace or what-ever, and the person responsible for getting approval from insurance company, then verify the cost and approval with the insurance before you have any thing done. I was sent here because my Doc felt I needed a custom made brace and this was the only place that was covered under my health insurance. Since the brace is custom made, they require payment up front (which is understandable). I paid my out-of-pocket expense which is 20 % of the cost and Insurance will pay 80%. I think they screwed up the first estimate and instead of honoring the cost I was given and paid, they decided to bill my Insurance the total amount of their "screw-up" and expect me to make up the difference. of course I get a bill for several hundred dollars more two months after I paid for the brace. What screw-ball company sells a product to a customer for a certain price and then decides later to bill them several hundred dollars more for the product they already bought? I am fighting this and will seek legal advice if necessary, Also, I am sure my Health Insurance will be thrilled when they find out what the original cost was supposed to be, not what they were charge (which is about a $400 difference). We are not talking about $20.00 mistake. It would be easier if I had names and dates of the people that were handling this claim, but I didn't because I was told by the office staff at Hanger they would take care of everything, guess they lied. read more

I called the Reston location to inquire about insurance requirements and turn around time. Whomever I was speaking with was rude by talking to someone in the background while I was asking questions. I asked if she was busy and she said no go ahead. I continued with my questions only for her to again talk to someone in the background. Needless to say I won't recommend the Reston location to anyone, no matter how convenient. I ended up choosing another provider in Winchester. read more
