I had just purchased my first home and was referred to Ruben by my realtor. Based on our agreement,…read moreI was promised three of his movers at $180/hour and was quoted five hours of labor ($900) after Ruben personally came to assess the amount of furniture I had. Things seemed smooth at first as the crew arrived around 9:30 AM and the majority of my belongings were loaded into the truck within three hours. However, once we arrived at the new house, two of the three movers left without notifying me. I assumed they were working inside the truck while the remaining crew brought items in. I even spent over $80 on lunch for all the movers, only to find out two of them had left for the day after just four hours. That's when the nightmare really began. It took over an hour to get my futon upstairs because they hadn't disassembled it. They even required my help to get it up the stairs during which they damaged my walls and staircase without repairing. I had to move boxes to the correct rooms myself, unwrap shrink-wrapped furniture, and deal with his phone breaks and gas station runs. Despite all this, by 10:30 PM- yes, over 13 hours later-Ruben requested $2,170 in payment, claiming he gave me a "discount" of $20/hour for 8 hours because two movers left early. That still left me paying well over double the original quote. To top it all off, my daughter's bed was still unassembled, my TV was sitting in the box on the floor, and several items hadn't been properly placed or finished. When I voiced my concerns about the lack of communication and unfinished tasks, I was met with a clearly frustrated and dismissive attitude. After a long and exhausting day, I was left feeling taken advantage of and extremely disappointed. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. Poor communication, incomplete work, and a complete lack of professionalism.

I have to admit I was skeptical being that there were no reviews so I'm happy to be the first. He showed up on time, had a reasonable price and everything was well protected. The highlight of this overall experience was the patience he had with me during such a rushed move. Lol I highly recommended for local moves.
