I had the opportunity of hearing Hayley speak in a NMS class, but when I saw she was offering her own series I knew I needed to sign up. My daughter is newly 1 and I found all of the class topics and resources extremely beneficial and helpful for my husband and I. Hayley cares about your personal parenting stories, difficulties and even shares from her own experiences. Even though the class typically meets in person I did not feel that the zoom environment took away from the experience at all. It actually made it a lot easier and flexible for me. The best part of the class for me was the ability to ask questions every week in regards to issues I was currently experiencing. Hayley was able to give me immediate guidance, support and resources to look at for help. I felt that hearing other people's struggles and stories also helped me in feeling supported. I am walking away from this class with tons of information, guidance and resources! So much that I will need to go back and refer to. I also have multiple authors, handouts, articles that have helped shape and transform my parenting methods. I am also walking away with an entirely new understanding of how kids grow, learn and behave. This class has truly helped me gain more of an understanding, tolerance and patience for my daughter, myself and my husband. Hayley makes it sound so easy and logical, when it feels like nothing makes sense. I've recommended this class to all my mom friends! Five stars just doesn't seem…read morelike enough to rate somebody who played such a vital part in helping my child overcome the fear, anxiety and debilitation of OCD. My son has struggled with anxiety since he was four, often developing little ticks that only his dad and I noticed. It seemed harmless though as each tick only lasted a couple months. At 6, he became very anxious going to school and in social situations. This became a bit worrisome, so we began trying to talk through ways to help him feel more comfortable with the big goal being him going onto the playground before school (big scary stuff for him). After a school year of working up to the big goal, he still wasn't ready and we tabled the goal for 2nd grade. During summer break (2015), what we thought was only anxiety went from bad to worse. He began hurting himself repeatedly without any ability or control to stop it. He would stick his finger to the back of his throat over and over until his throat was red and raw. My husband and I had to monitor our son 24 hours a day to help him overcome the urges, and it seemed like it was almost causing him pain to deny them. We called Kimberly immediately and she made room for us to come in in just a few days. After meeting him, Kimberly diagnosed him with OCD. The first day our son met Kimberly, he came out of therapy with more hope and peace than we'd seen in days. He was literally armed with tools to help him through what we now know were compulsions. The tools were effective and practical and began to work immediately. After approximately 3 months of therapy, our family was fully equipped with the tools and knowledge to support my son and we only schedule occasional check-ins with Kimberly. Degan, our son, has only had one instance since our last appointment with a compulsion, but he quickly utilized the tools Kimberly gave him and overcame it in seconds. And shortly after his last appointment, my son stepped onto the playground at school 10 full minutes before the bell. Yes, this is a long review, but I imagine our story will resonate with many of you and I hope you let Kimberly get you to a happier ending like us!

It is a hard thing to muster up and do but I knew it was in my sons best interest to find him someone he could talk to about controlling his behaviors/ emotions. Since the day we started I knew that call would end up being one of the best things I have ever done and that she was going to be a great fit. Little did I know that the change would happen pretty fast and that it wouldn't just change his behavior but the dynamic in our family and home and pretty much every area of his life. As we are about to end our program it almost saddens me that we won't see her often but it's comforting to know she will always be in our corner. Lisa was my emotional advocate and while I didn't do a great job preparing my partner for the session, Lisa made it clear that she was not only communicating my concerns, but also expressing how much I loved and adored my partner. My partner was also validated in the session and I know this helped too. Lisa is a professional who re-reads her notes to help you make connections to things mentioned in previous sessions. She is a great listener! Lisa used EMDR(in individual sessions) to help guide me through my emotions and find the threads that connected my sadness and fears to my past. While I don't understand why it works, I can say unequivocally, it works! While you don't normally feel perfect right away, I always felt measurable relief after talking with Lisa. Ultimately I decided to end the relationship, but I still see Lisa to help me understand and learn from the relationship and move on. I was very sad when I ended the relationship. I continued to see Lisa and recently our sessions led to a breakthrough that has freed me from deep sadness over ending that relationship. I would have gotten better on my own, but it was the difference in getting better in 6 weeks with Lisa or 6 months or more on my own. If you are lost and need help navigating through your emotions, especially if you are at a point where you don't feel confident about your choices, Lisa can help you access what you really want and offer strategies for improving the way you approach relationships with yourself and other people. Our friends and family are great, but Lisa provides a sound, objective way of counseling and you can not only hear she's on your side, you feel that she cares for you like a brother or a sister.

This is not typical of him unless he feels comfort. Initially, we were apprehensive about putting our son on medication to help him with his anxiety & increased behaviors. Our daughter has very complex medical needs, including a history of TEF repair, vocal cord dysfunction, bilateral cleft lip and palate, G-tube dependence, and several other challenges. When we first started with Jane, our daughter could barely tolerate drops of milk, struggled to recognize food, and had significant difficulty initiating a swallow. We had worked with several feeding therapists before finding Jane, without much success, and the difference in her approach was apparent early on. Jane started by patiently building our daughter's oral motor skills and gradually introducing food and liquids at a pace she could tolerate. She incorporates a variety of techniques, including taping, oral motor tools, organza cloths, and different sensory cues, always adapting her approach to our daughter's needs. What really sets Jane apart is her resourcefulness. If something isn't working, she finds another way. If our daughter isn't interested in eating during a session, Jane will pivot to other developmental or fine motor activities so the time is still productive. She never takes a one-size-fits-all approach. Beyond her clinical skills, Jane is incredibly attentive, dependable, and genuinely invested in our daughter's progress. She is always punctual, takes detailed notes, stays up to date on medical appointments, and regularly communicates with us between sessions. I frequently text her with questions or updates, and she is always gracious and responsive. She has also gone above and beyond in helping us navigate complicated insurance issues and the seemingly endless medical documentation that comes with having a medically complex child. Jane is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced, and knowing that she has trained and mentored other feeding therapists in the area speaks to her expertise. But what impresses us most is her willingness to keep learning, adapting, and collaborating as our daughter's medical needs evolve. She is also wonderful with our 3-year-old son, often including him in little ways and offering us helpful developmental tips for him as well. We continue to see Jane twice a week, and after nearly a year and a half together, she truly feels like part of our family. Her commitment to providing individualized, home-based therapy has made an enormous difference in our lives. Finding someone who combines this level of clinical competence with such genuine kindness and dedication is rare. We are incredibly grateful that our physical therapist referred us to Jane.
