WOW.. ... all i can say is wow. I am in complete disbelief of the way I have been treated by the…read moreMountain View primary care staff at smoke ranch. Firstly, I wanna start by saying the staff has not been rude by any means, but just extremely unprofessional and unorganized. I started going to this doctor, specifically Dr. Noorda, because of the incredible reviews he had about him as far as his practice and medicine... I wanna make it very clear that I am only continuing to come to this office because of the incredible care that I've received from Dr. Noorda and only because of that. Otherwise, it has been extremely frustrating and an impeccable waste of my time... I Initially went in 11/26 to get blood drawn and provide samples that I was asked for for testing... When I arrived, there was a ton of confusion on what test were actually supposed to be performed on me so that was frustrating, and then after they finally figured everything out, and I was able to provide them with the correct paperwork, they took the samples they thought I needed it, and I proceeded to leave the office as normal... Literally less than three minutes later they called me back to back letting me know if I'm able to rush back in. They forgot to give me some test that we're on the list for me that day, which was already a red flag, but I decided that everyone makes mistakes and I went back in with no problem., Mind you I live over 25 minutes away, so this is not convenient travel wise for me by any means, but I will travel anywhere for good care. Fast-forward to today, December 4, I go in for my appointment to drop off the test that I was sent home with 11/26 to test me further, and when I went in to drop off the samples, everything appeared to be fine. I gave them to the phlebotomist, And I left... As per usual. Unbeknownst to me, I'm driving 25 minutes away to go back home and get back to work, I'm on a work call as I drive home and I noticed that Mountain View called me twice back to back... I'm on an important call so I cannot switch over, and the first thing I thought is there is absolutely no way they are calling me because they forgot something again, I am already traumatized that happened to me the first time. Once I was finished with my work call, I gave them a call back lo and behold just to find out that yet again they incorrectly read my charts. They told me that the way that the tests were requested. They told me that the way that the tests were requested. We're all on one line and was confusing the phlebotomist told me she had to ask a nurse how to also read the paperwork just for them to call back and tell me they need an additional 5+ tests and that I ultimately wasted my time coming down and giving them the test that I drove 25 minutes to give them, because That wasn't actually all of the test that I was supposed to provide to them initially, which was completely unbeknownst to me because they literally never told me . So now I have to go back for my appointment December 18, but we were originally supposed to discuss all of the results that I had already sent in, now that Appointment is essentially obsolete because the testing still isn't done, mind you I have driven back-and-forth to the office more than five times now trying to achieve the same results and something that should be extremely simple... all she could literally tell me verbatim was "well you don't have to drive back up here if you don't want to I was just making you aware"... Girl of course I have to drive back up there. This is my health we're talking about, no matter how frustrating it is I'm going to do whatever it takes to finally get these test submitted, but wow the hoops I've had to go through is crazy! I'm typically not want to complain, but the situation has left me feeling helpless and in disbelief!

I just met Dr. Taratuta last week due to pain in left knee and relayed my symptoms. She thought my…read moreknee had arthritis and sent me for an x-ray. I didn't think she would be correct as, even though I am in my mid-70s, I have never had arthritis or anything else before and I take no meds for anything. She also advised how age and weight affects arthritis, saying being overweight exacerbates the condition but she it so nicely I did not feel insulted (my normal reaction when someone mentions about me being overweight). I just used the patient portal to check my x-ray results and, sure enough, she was 100% correct -- I have moderate osteoarthritis. I already have a follow-up appt in 2 weeks but before I left her office, she recommended an arthritis gel for pain (which I have already ordered and received). The last reviewer complained about the condition of the office and I don't blame her. If it looked as she described, I would have walked out too. But possibly the Doctor changed offices as everything in there look sparkling clean and new. I appreciate how the lady at the front desk came over to sit with me and fill out the forms for me. I can do it myself, but not having to stand was appreciated -- plus, I love service!! The only issue I had was with the lady taking my blood pressure when I first arrived. She pulled the cuff tight like a girdle and it caused pain. When I expressed it hurt she looked at the machine as if checking it for some reason. Again I expressed I was in pain and she then said, "it's going down now" but it wasn't going down fast enough for me. She should have ended the test immediately upon me complaining about pain. When finally finished, my upper arm to elbow was bright red. I betcha she will never take my blood pressure again! But I do not let this reflect on my grading on the quality of the doctor. She was wonderful and made me feel quite comfortable which is amazing considering I have an old school fear of doctors. THANK YOU Dr. Taratuta!

I really hate to give a doctor a one star review, but sometimes, it's warranted…read more First, this office looks dirty. It probably isn't, but it looks like it. The inside looks like it was just thrown together without much care. At the very least, it needs a new paint job. I almost walked out. I was very uncomfortable. The chairs were visibly worn out, and the floors need to be replaced. Also, the blinds on the door needed to be replaced --- all bent up and destroyed like a cat tried to climb up them numerous times. I gave her and her staff two tries, even though I wasn't impressed the first time. The first time, the nurse gave me a very good case as to why I would frequently wait well passed my appointment time (about a half hour the first time) - the doctor is thorough. Okay, great. I can be okay with that. No problem. I can put up with it if she spends lots of time with her patients, because it means she'll take a lot of time and care with me. But no... I was there for a couple of reasons. 1. I needed a new doctor and 2. I had prescriptions and was out of refills. I brought my prescription bottles with me...but she didn't even look at them. She just let me rattle off my prescription names and dosages, wrote a prescription for each and signed off on them without any proof of me being on them. If I were drug seeking, I would've been in addict heaven. Shameful. The second time I came in was definitely worse. I waited a full hour passed my appointment time (which was awful because I took off work to be there, so I essentially wasted half of my day). Half the staff had been replaced, which concerned me because it had only been a month. The friendly, knowledgeable nurse who was there for my first appointment was gone and replaced by two women who seemed confused and didn't have enough to do. I could hear them clearly enough in the back "office" that I suspect many people who go there can claim HIPAA violations. Additionally, when another patient came in, one of the nurses mentioned how the missing nurse from my last appointment, "just up and left," which seemed like an unprofessional thing to say and tells me more about her than it does about the nurse who left. The doctor did the same thing. She said her nurse left all of a sudden. Then she rolled her eyes and shook her head. I'm sorry, but I don't want to know about your inter-office drama. As if that weren't enough, the doctor doesn't dress very professionally. I might get a facial from someone like her, but I don't feel comfortable getting medical care from a woman who wears skinny, stone washed jeans and 6 inch heels that look like she took a bedazzler to them. It's just not appropriate attire in a medical clinic for a doctor. Save it for the club or a trip to the mall. Wear something more professional looking. I don't generally make judgments based on how someone dresses, but this was an exception for me. I'm not going back. I'm looking for a new doctor.
