Always great service. Very honest and use quality replacement parts. Have used them for many years and always satisfied.

Nothing but great service when I come to Hancock! I blew a tire Saturday afternoon and stopped in with my donut on 30 mins before they closed and they had a tire for me and put it on super fast! This is not the first time they have worked on my vehicle last minute, so it is much appreciated! They had a tire available and it was perfectly priced and not expensive at all ! I highly recommend Hancock, their prices and service is best I found in the area! read more

I have had a few vehicles serviced at this shop. I like how the estimate is sent over via email in case I miss the call from the shop. I just had $780 worth of work completed, and one issue I had (jammed hood latch) was resolved at no cost. I really appreciated that. I would recommend taking your vehicles to this shop read more

Just back to give them another 5 stars!! Had to work in the lobby while they ran a diagnostic code on car. Found the issue and had the replacement battery in house. One visit and it's handled! I trust this place with my car and not to sell me things I don't need. Chad is always helpful! read more

I took my Ford Escape to Hancock Tire and Auto. I was so frustrated with Brandon Ford. With 87,000 miles and my check engine light on, I was very nervous. After they assessed my car, they found the issue was most likely a Crack on the engine, along with some other issues. They told me the price of the new engine, and the cost of labor. They stood yo make a lot on the service because it was a 20 hour job; however, they were honest and decent, and did not think it was a good idea. They saved me $8500 in repair. I appreciated their honesty and caring. Thank you! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. From the customer service provided over the phone, to the timeliness of the work completed, and the communication along the way... I drive from SWFL to come here. Everyone I've interacted with there gives off the most genuine vibes I've ever encountered in an auto shop. They are not ones to upsell you, on literally anything. I've been coming here since 2021! read more

I arrived shortly before closing and they had no issue taking my car in. I was only there because one tire had a screw in it so nothing major but was hoping to get it plugged. They treated me like any customer and did exactly what I expected at more than fair price within minutes. read more

Had the oil changed on my sons car for it's last one. Took vehicle to new place for next oil change. The new place said the plug threads were ruined by the previous place. I called Hancock. I confirmed with the owner that: 1) I did indeed take the car there for its last oil change 2) Plugs can be ruined by over tightening, and Hancock was the last to tighten 3) Hancock takes zero responsibility post service. In JP's (the owner) quote "I don't take responsibility for situations where the drain plug breaks because they are a wear and tear item". My counter was that "you were the last person to tighten that plug". To which, there was no reasonable counter. He did offer that if I towed the car (at my cost) they would "Work on it", but who would trust them at this point??? He outlined how we would band-aid the situation basically. read more

I was on my way to pick up my kids when I drove near a construction site. I felt the car go over something. I was worried, but my back tire Disney start losing air until I was in my kids' carline. FROM carline, I looked for tire places near me and called Hancock. They were willing to take my car in right away. Sure enough, just half an hour or so later, I was able to continue my drive home with the kids. They saved the day! I appreciate the last-minute flexibility and help! read more

Wheel weights falling off of rims and they don't know why. Speak to JP (the manager) and he has no clue why this is happening and questions why its not happening with everyone. Then he admits they use soap and water to clean the rims before putting the weights on. He actually believes this is the correct procedure. If they cant install weights using the proper procedure and prep, they shouldn't be balancing wheels. Don't use these guys, they are ignorant in the tire change process. read more

I have been here dozens of times over the years. They plug tires faster and cheaper than anyone. They don't try to up sell you on a tire when a patch/plug will do. read more

Hancock Tire & Auto - If you need a plug fast and cheap this is your place. - Auto Repair Near Me - Riverview, Florida

Fast, able and honest. I've been a customer for many years with many vehicles and they never disappoint. There are a lot of repair shops in the area and they all brag about being honest or trustworthy. Nobody likes paying for car repairs and the mystery that comes with that little engine light will down right ruin your day. But Hancock Tire will break it down, give you an accurate diagnosis, practical options for your situation and a fair price to fix it. Thanks! read more

Me and my husband went in just to mount 2 tires, we came first thing in the morning. They were super kind and helpful. We were only waiting for just about an hour. Would seriously recommend! read more

Called and verified Hancock Tire & Auto could replace a fuel pump on my 1970 Skylark. Towed car to location and after the service manager, Jim ( little to no communication skills in my opinion) watched the car be removed from the tow truck he then proceeded to tell me the car was too old for them to work on. I asked for Hancock Tire & Auto to tow the car to a location capable of performing the task -- I was there because they have performed work on my car before. Jim informed me they wouldn't tow the car as it was "my problem". I towed the car there be use they told me they could do the work -- repeatedly asked Jim to have the owner call me - No call received from owner. Not a favorable interaction. Poor communication skills exhibited by service manager (Jim). Literally watched the car be lowered from the tow truck before saying they couldn't work on it -- wow -- read more

Had to get my 04 ford 150 spark plugs replaced and I called everywhere and this was the last people to call. Not because I chose but just due to how google laid out the nearest auto mechanics shops. When I called it was a short ring then someone answered very professionally and said to come in now and they would have it done by a few hours. AWESOME. I dropped it off and they called letting me know it was done and the issue was fixed. They never up charged me or try to sell anything to me extra or anything! I gave them an issue and they fixed in a fast and professional manner. This means so much to me and I will be a returning customer. read more

dropped off our car on Friday for an oil change, engine light was on and the cv axle was making a noise. They never called us to tell us what repairs the car needed and we tried calling them we kept getting put on hold. We picked up the car on Sunday and all they did was an oil change!! They could not explain to us why nothing else was checked out. This place is a joke, will not be coming back read more

Service was amazing! Big shoutout to Michael for fixing my valve stem! Thank you to Hancock for taking such great care of me!

I took my truck to have the A/C checked because it was not cooling as it should on 7/29/24. The told me that it was down a little on freon and the charged it up and inserted some die in case it had a leak which would identify where the leak would be. Two weeks later on 8/12/24 I took it back because it was not cooling as it should however it would cool very well for a few minutes and then it would blow hot are for a few minutes. I checked and saw that the compressor was running when it was cooling and it would shut off when it was blowing hot air. My research said it would be due to a high or low pressure switch possibly a defective compressor. At the end of the day on the 12th they said they had been very busy and had not got to it however it would be first in line the following morning. At noon on the 13th I was told they had not gotten to it and it might be the following day. At that point I took my keys and drove it to another repair shop that took it right into a repair bay. I will have a hard time going back here because of the excuses provided by the staff. read more

I absolutely love this auto shop and their commitment to the community. Several times I have been in here and seen them not charge people for services (that other places would charge for). I love how honest they are and how they don't always tell you that "this needs be done". I recommend this place to everyone. read more

From the moment I called to inquire if they had availability to look at my car until my car was completed I was extremely satisfied. Prices are fair and they do quality work. This is now my go to place anything car related. read more

They have had my 2011 Ford Edge for three weeks. It's gone from a "bad" master cylinder to a "bad" ABS pump module to a "bad" pedal and it still hasn't been fixed or correctly diagnosed. I have had to call them for updates every time. They have never called me and I still don't know when this will get fixed or how much they are going to soak me for. Stay away...far away. A total ripoff. read more

I truly feel robbed. I brought my car in for an issue and paid almost $3000 to fix it. I left with no power steering and was told it would cost $1000 more to fix it and I truly believe this issue happened while the car was in their care as I had never experienced an issue with my power steering before. The workers were very kind when talking to me and had great manners but I truly believe they caused this issue and I feel like I was taken advantage of. Also I looked up the part that was $1000 to fix and brand new it was $200. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Please go somewhere else. read more

Worst place I've ever attempted to take my trucks. First attempt i needed it done by 11am so they scheduled it for 8am. Never touched my truck. Never got the oil changed. Next attempt today the 7th of Aug. brought it in at 8:30 they said the oil change would be done in 45 minutes but the tire rotation may take longer but the entire truck would be complete before noon. It is 12:01 now and i came to check in on it because i need my truck. They haven't even touched it yet! Just sat in the parking lot. Just garbage people zero stars read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Never in my life have I experienced such horrible customer service and disrespect. Went in for a battery replacement (which took 2 hours). walked out with many other issues. with no apology, no help, and no explanation. The lady at reception literally yelled at me and my husband because we questioned why we now have so many other issues. It was quite unbelievable. I should have listened to my gut when the guy in front of me was upset that they didn't replace his old battery. Instead left the old battery in along with other tools. If you want your car back in one piece, I wouldn't recommend taking it here. They could also use a lesson in customer service. read more

The first impression is usually the outcome to future business. Myself, needed some tires on my ISF on short notice and they were able to help with the order before they closed up for the day. Finished the order first thing in the morning when I brought her up for service. I know a lot about working on cars, and I appreciate someone not telling me what I "need"! Maybe it's what I drive, but that's one thing that brought me back for a oil change. Thanks guys I value that service u all have provided. I'll be back :) read more

I was recommended by a friend to come here to get my battery checked. As soon as I pulled up I was able to find somebody to help me figure out what was wrong with my car. They tested my battery and told me I needed a new battery. I don't think it even took 30 mins to get my battery tested, get the paperwork prepared and get a new battery put back into my car. I was greeted with a smile and left with a smile and a handshake. Thank you Jim for taking good care of me! I will definitely be back and tell others about you all. read more

Always accommodating. Between work and play I take 5 vehicles here. Fair and honest. My 2004 Nissan had a transmission cooling line leak (never even heard of this) Nissan wanted $700 to replace the lines, Hancock swapped out the clamp and charged me $28. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME !!!! I recently had 4 new tires put on my vehicle and I could not be more pleased with the price and service. I have rims that are very corroded from tough Ohio winters. They told me that there might be difficulty in getting the tires to seal properly because of this. It turns out they were right. The first time the tires were mounted they did not seal. A day later Hancock took the time to grind down, clean and bead seal all four tires a second time, FREE OF CHARGE. I could not be more pleased. Thank you!!! read more

The staff acts put out with any customer interaction whatsoever. I bought several $250 tires. When one of them got a nail in it about 3 weeks later, they told me they could not fix it or warranty it. I had to pay for an additional $250 tire. When I asked for a cheaper alternative (a discount or a less expensive tire) I was told they could not help me out. They took about an hour longer than they told me they would. I will definitely NOT be back. read more

Glad I found a mechanic I can trust. The employees here are really nice and professional. I came in to get an oil change new tires and new brakes because I started to hear some noises when braking. They informed me that I don't need new brakes and explained to me what the noise was. I feel like had I taken it somewhere else they would have just replaced my brakes and I would've been out more money. They don't just fix it because you think it's broke. They tell you what's really up. I appreciate the honesty and I will always bring my car here for any problems or maintenance. Thanks for being awesome guys!!!
