Dirty hair and dirty sheets. Absolutely disgusting.

Not clean at all! Found 4-5 hair on the bed and black marks. Pool water was also very murky. Would not recommend coming here.

We stayed at this hotel in April and it wasn't busy... we're here before Tulip time. They have free breakfast and the rooms were clean. You always see people cleaning this hotel which was nice. I love that they had a bar and restaurant in the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

This is perhaps the most unusual Hampton Inn in which I have ever stayed. And I have stayed in a lot of Hampton Inns, all around the US. Here is a list of a few things that make this a very unusual member of the chain: Like virtually all Hampton Inns, this hotel has a clean and appealing pool. Unlike others, however, it has an OUTDOOR hot tub (great on a cold night with snow, as last night was) and an arcade of sorts. The latter has various games for both kids and adults, and is near the very large indoor pool area. A hockey game looked particularly fun, and is decidedly Michigania. Virtually no Hampton Inns have a restaurant within. This one does. It is a fairly simple one, offering pizza, nachos, sandwiches and the like, with a bar serving various wines and beers. Not great food -- we had the pizza -- but not bad food, either. It offered an alternative to a nearby restaurant that had a very long wait on the Monday after Christmas. The standard Hampton Inn has ridiculous signs on the inside of elevator doors. Those of you who frequent this chain know what I mean -- "Lol", "cray cray", "selfie", and the like -- but the manager of this idiosyncratic member of the chain seems to have chosen to go without them. (This is a plus). Within the all-important room, things are fairly standard Hampton. Perhaps more in the way of windows than most, but the usual comfortable bed, a couch upon which to work and write reviews, a fridge, good-sized TV, standard clean bathroom. The only difference is that a very fancy automated (push-button) mechanism has been installed to raise and lower the window shades. Figuring this out is a potential adventure :) All in all, a good experience that exceeded expectations.

My stay at the Hampton Inn Holland was truly outstanding. The quality of my stay is a good reflection on what is "luxury" for a business traveler. As a business traveler, getting aspects of the stay right is muck more important to me than having more 'stuff'. The management and staff of this hotel truly sweated the details in getting their guest experience just right. Check-in was smooth and quick. The renovated rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors were clean, modern, and efficient. The quality of breakfast was excellent. See the pictures I've attached. Two nice surprises were night light in the bathroom and smoothies for breakfast. When I travel for business, 'luxury' is having details sorted out so I sleep, recover, and do work more comfortably and efficiently. That sounds simple, but doing that is something that many hotels can't achieve as it involves sorting out many factors such as speedy check-in and check-out, heating/cooling systems that operate unobtrusively, bathrooms that are clean and efficient to use, beds that are comfortable, lighting controls that are logically placed, among other considerations. This Hampton Inn got all those details right. Highly recommended in the Holland, MI area.

What a delight. Great hotel, great offerings, great breakfast, great staff. Nice and clean. Staff are never sitting still, always cleaning. Amazing pool and hot tubs right by restaurant and game room so parents and kids are all entertained.

Holland State Park is great but this year (2018) Tunnel Park was the hit. We have 4 kiddos entertainment is important. I highly recommend a stay here.

First, the location is awesome. Across the street from a Lake Macatawa access (our balcony had a lake view) and down the street from the Holland State Park Lake Michigan Beach (perfect to watch the sun set). We also hiked Mt. Pisgah a couple of days (just down the street too). We stayed in the Newport (sleeps 8, 4 in beds, 4 in sofa beds). We loved the unit from the decor to the multi level layout and fully stocked kitchen. If someone in your party has trouble with stairs I might pick a unit that has an additional first floor kitchen/bar. There is a jet tub in the master bath and a private patio with a grill off the back of the first floor bedroom. There is also an outdoor grill with patio table seating right off the pool deck for entertaining. The salt water pool and hot tub (mostly the hot tub) was my fav, especially after climbing all those stairs at Mt Pisgah. 8 minutes to downtown Holland and 20 minutes to Saugatuck. Just down the street was a kayak and paddle board rental place. Additionally you get privileges at the Macatawa Golf Club which was very nice. It was worth every penny and we hope to go back again!

Extremely Disappointing Stay - Will Never Return…read more I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Holland, Michigan, and this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I was charged for waters that I never drank, and despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the hotel refused to refund me. According to their paperwork, the waters "weren't in the room," which is absolutely untrue -- we never touched them. The lack of accountability and professionalism from both management and staff was unbelievable. The room itself was also a major disappointment. The plumbing was terrible -- the sink backed up while brushing my teeth, and every time the toilet was flushed it looked like it was about to overflow. The hotel is under remodeling, and as soon as we checked in all we heard were drills, banging, and workers constantly around. At one point, a worker was right outside our window. I'm just glad we happened to be dressed. Overall, this was completely unacceptable. Between the poor room conditions, the noise, the privacy concerns, and being charged for something I didn't use, I will not be staying at this property -- or any Hilton hotel -- again. Very unprofessional on every level.

The worst part was the management- outwardly rude, arrogant, and abrasive towards guests. Very strange behavior from them, would not recommend. Would definitely not recommend- especially if you are traveling with children.
