First room we were given smelled like industrial perfume. Second room, the only one left, had a really noisy air conditioner. Sounds like a jet taking off. How the hell are you supposed to sleep with this???. Hallways are dirty, hotel is old and dingy. Counter tops in room were sticky. This is not up to Hampton inn Standards by a long shot. Also Hampton inn coffee is terrible. Would avoid this place. For a 189 a night they need to do a lot better. read more

Stayed here a few times. Clean, very friendly staff, and the complimentary breakfast is the best I've had at a hotel! No noise complaints. Will stay here again! Also fitness center, hot tub and pool, communal fire pit. Pretty nice! read more

When we were at the firepit a front desk clerk was looking at us through the door and the boys and girls restroom were closed

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. As we walked in the main entrance, we saw large air conditioners in the lobby area. The front desk clerk told us the air conditioners in the lobby areas were not working properly but the rooms were fine. He accommodated us to a room on the third floor. The room had a musty smell, and the hallway was creppy. The elevator lights were not working, and the front desk clerk didn't acknowledge us when we returned from dinner. The area that is around the hotel doesn't appear safe or attractive. This should be acknowledged when checking in to the hotel. read more

We booked this through Booking.Com. Unfortunately, when booking on other than the Hampton Inn site, they do not let you know that the Inn was under construction. I definitely would not have booked it at the time. The noise started at 8:30 am and contractors were in and out with old rugs and garbage. Even though the staff was very nice, it was too late to change our reservation. read more

We have stayed here twice and have had a bad experience both times. The air conditioning is awful. It was miserable trying to sleep and having no air circulating. We went down to the counter to see if we could borrow a fan. They said their air was out too and needed it to stay cool. We will definitely not return to this location. It actually has us thinking about giving up our HGV membership. read more

Check in was easy! We checked in on the evening of Friday, May 6, 2023 and checked out on the 8th of May (Sunday). The clerk, I believe his name was Tony, was beyond friendly and helpful! He had the best personality of any clerk at any Hampton Inn we've ever stayed at! The hospitality business needs more people like him! This isn't a newer Hampton Inn and is in need of some TLC. For example, we stayed in two rooms on the first floor next to the door that leads out to the fire pit... the ceiling is disgusting and looks like it's never been repaired or touched in many years. Our room was okay. It was nice and clean which is a huge plus. No bugs or odors or anything like that. The pool and fire pit were nice after spending our day at the zoo and exploring the local area. My Aunt, Uncle and Cousin that live in Deland came to see us, the fire pit area was wonderful to catch up with family I haven't seen in probably 20 years. The free breakfast was surprisingly good - with the exception of the biscuits. They were hard as bricks. Could smack some cement on those babies and built a house - HAHA! Should we ever return to the area - thanks to Tony, we would stay again. As for the bad reviews - some people just like to nitpick - the rest, we'll ya can't please everyone. read more

Fine hotel. Clean. Pleasant staff. Right next to Burger King, gas station Waffle House and IHOP. The staff were friendly. Warm cookies, decent breakfast. About 15 mins from Sanford Airport. Pool and hot tub. read more

A Diamond member who stays at all types of Hilton locations, including Hampton Inns...this is an older Hampton Inn....dark, dank, a bit smelly. The staff was friendly. Ok for a very quick in and out stay. read more

Mafet checked us in and was there for night 2../so friendly and nice to deal with, can't say enough good things about her! Our first night the air conditioning stopped working so we had Maintence Kevin, literally he came less than 3 minutes after issue reported, look at the issue. Couldn't fix the problem so we were moved to another room immediately What a great customer service team here! The whole hotel has been renovated and is awesome read more

I am a Hampton Inn kind of guy, especially when I find one tucked away in a nice smaller town and which upholds the brand standards to my satisfaction. If you want a good, clean stay with nice people -- just outside of "Orlando Palooza" -- this is the place. Also next door to a convenience gas station and an IHOP for those times when pancakes are calling to you over the provided breakfast. read more

Do not go to this place it is absolutely disgusting all they did was put lipstick on a pig when it comes to remodeling what they're disgusting Pepto-Bismol color paint the owner Stacy is a completely rude b****, they absolutely refuse to take cash so they can charge you an extra 3%, the only motel in town that does such actions there still is bed bugs as there was from the previous owners in cockroaches crawl all over the place some of the rooms that you go into if you tend to stay there long-term cannot even run a hot plate for it pops the breaker all you can cook in is a microwave Smart TVs are available but they are not in each room this place is absolutely disgusting and I would not let my dog stay there for he may even catch mange Stacy is one of the worst owners of this facility I have seen in the 42 years that I have lived in the surrounding area read more

Stayed here for strictly financial reasons, every thing else nearby was $30.00 more. I checked in around 11:00PM and thankfully there was a neon sign for the location, otherwise I never would have found it. There was plenty of parking and the staff was friendly. The room was typical to lower for Hampton Standards, but everything was clean. I skipped out on breakfast as I had an early meeting, but I'm sure the breakfast was like most other Hampton's. Nothing remarkable, but I'd stay here again for an over-nighter. read more

Hampton Inn Debary/Deltona - No hotel art...... - Hotels Near Me - Debary, Florida

We stayed here again for a 3 night weekend. i was very disappointed when I checked in they did not welcome me back or acknowledge me as an Honors member. I had to ask for my Honors snacks. The room was just OK and is showing signs of getting old. The breakfast meals were fair but, not as good as can be. Don't think I'll stay here next time we visit the area. read more

Hampton Inn Debary/Deltona - Hotels Near Me - Debary, Florida

The hallway of our 2nd floor room smelled terribly. We were moved to the 3rd floor and our room smelled as well. Very musty. The toilet was very old and yellowed. An absolutely disgusting place. We both started coughing and left the hotel. Found a nice, clean, modern room at an Extended Stay nearby. read more

This place deserves a six star rating. Much like Special Agent Dale Cooper I look for a clean room at a reasonable price. This place not only met my needs but surpassed them. My wife and I came here to take care of her ailing father and were blown away at the service, generosity, and compassion shown to us. Young at the front desk is awesome. She helped us get the very best rate when we extended our stay unexpectedly. Alexia the housekeeper was amazing. She's thoughtful, compassionate, and checked on my wife daily to see how she was doing. They called to check if we needed room service when we were busy and even offered to give us change to wash our clothes. Our breakfast each morning we're prepared by 2 older ladies and the food was fantastic. It was like our grandmothers prepared the food for us, that good. It was really nice to know that we could start each difficult day with a great breakfast. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. read more

We tried to get a room here last minute we even called and they was availability but when getting there a completely other story anyway the lady wouldn't open the door to talk to us she stated they were "booked" and they were no more then 14 cars in the lot ridiculous read more

This is a rather quiet Hampton. . .or at least it has been on my visits. It's clean, and like all other Hamptons. Not enough art on the walls so it's a lot of white space. . .kinda freaked me out at first, but once I figured out what it was I was fine with i t. I receive water and oreo cookies in the room upon arrival. I personally am not a fan of chocolate, but it's a nice gesture nonetheless. Fresh cookies and milk are served in the evening, and the staff is friendly and willing to help out. A computer is available for use in the lobby, but there is only one available, so you may have to wait. Overall, clean solid affordable choice if you're in the area. Really close to Waffle house, IHOP, and a McDonalds. read more

My opinion is you should not stay at this hotel ! I'm a Diamond member, who was charged $250 for my family smoking in a room. They don't even smoke! read more

Very nice hotel, stayed here 2 nights in Sept 2020, hotel has been renovated recently. Plenty of USB charging ports. Very nice staff

Great hotel! It was very clean the staff was incredibly friendly, breakfast was always good. Can't ask much more of a hotel. The beds and pillows were comfy as well. Pool and hot tub are also a nice feature. Would defiantly stay here again if i do come back to town again. Thanks for the great 7 day stay! read more

Excellent. I also booked a smoking in error and when I arrived the hotel was sold out for the rest of the weekend. The desk person was great and did t let me lose my 1 night for cancelling by giving us a night in non smoking to book elsewhere. Thank you Hampton. I wouldn't stay elsewhere. read more

I booked a room directly with the hotel- apparently is non-refundable (I did not realize). I called, they refuse to refund me (I understand), or to give me a credit for future stays (I don't understand that). I travel to the area often- so they have lost my future business. Warning to others- be very careful about any bookings- read more

I've been Hilton Diamond for about five years, and I drive from the Philadelphia area to Debary usually a couple times a year. I have stayed at a dozen or more Hilton-family hotels all along 95. Lately, my preference is to just drive all the way through, but stay here instead of waking my hosts up at 2am. Most Hampton Inns are consistent and top quality in terms of cleanliness if not posh appointments. This one is no exception. I can't think of a single issue I've had with the place over the last couple of years, and that says a lot since after 15 hours of driving, I can have a pretty short fuse. If the traditional Hampton Inn breakfast isn't enough for you, there's an IHOP next door within walking distance. The wireless works consistently. I've never had an issue with security or my car being broken into. Only on one occasion did I experience some confusion with housekeeping. They thought we arrived that day (which technically we did, at 2:30am) and called to see if we were going to need the room cleaned that day. I explained we had just arrived a few hours earlier and would be leaving by noon, and they were perfectly fine with it. Other than that one strange call, the place has been a perfect destination after a long (really long) day on the road. Will happily use again and again. read more

This is our third trip here. It has always been such a great experience. We come here for weekend get aways because the staff is so wonderful, they always go above and beyond! We will stay here in the future. read more

We have stayed at dozens of Hampton Inns in several states and always gotten consistently good service. This location was the exception. We stayed for a week at this location and each evening when the fresh-baked cookies would be available. We never got an answer nor did we get this promised cookies no matter what time we went through the lobby. One front desk clerk in particular spent most of her time in the kitchen of the breakfast area, not helping, just gabbing. One guest got tired of waiting for her at the desk and finally went into the kitchen to find her. As guests walked through the lobby she did not look up and make eye contact or speak to them. She also spent a lot of time showing other employees pics of a recent trip. The front desk phone rang 13 times once when she was busy with her own agenda. When we completed the online survey sent after our stay, we got an email allegedly from the GM stating surprise at our displeasure with this employee. The GM stated that this employee is usually "the star of the show". This email also stated that the staff members are like family and this particular clerk was showing off pics from the recent wedding of her niece that she had raised. DO THAT ON YOUR OWN TIME AND IN A BREAKROOM, NOT AT THE FRONT DESK AS GUESTS ARE BEING IGNORED! We also mentioned that the breakfast buffet was not replenished in a timely manner. (No one should have to ask 3 times for a slice of bread!) The GM said they were caught off guard by the large number of guests when they (we) all showed up for the free breakfast that Hampton offers their guests. Caught off guard??? Didn't someone notice during the reservation/check-in that there were a lot of guests??? The GM's email simply made excuses for the various issues we raised instead saying that the issues would be addressed. This was a very disappointing stay with a chain where we usually get exceptional service. read more

Stayed on a weekday while on business in area. Clean, quiet room, even on first floor. Very comfy bed with 4 pillows each. Nice staff. Breakfast so so. Some items shouldn't of been on display - inedible! I think only hotel in town. Early check in was nice. read more

Okay so this hotel is not in the most ideal location, but it's right off the express way I4. It's about 35 mins from Daytona beach and 30 minutes from Orlando. I must say this has to be the best Hilton hotel I have stayed at. The room was really clean upon arrival. They offer free coffee and tea with multiple creamer choices 24/7. The front desk staff was great. We reserved a smoking room by mistake and they switched us with no problem. My only complaint was the gas station next door had people standing around,.which scared me when getting gas in the afternoon. But it wasn't to bad. There is a ihop and burger king literally a two minute walk away. I will definitely say I'm picky and my friends and I loved this hotel more than those half cleaned resorts around Orlando. read more

Stayed here for 5 days..i highly recommend. Clean, the staff was nice, the breakfast was really good with lots to choose from and nice area to sit. Rooms are clean, sheets are clean, cable with a nice sized tv. Pool is nice with a hot tub/Jacuzzi. Really truly nice people work here. read more

This is a wonderful hotel at which we stayed while visiting my grandparents. The room was nice and clean, but the staff is what makes this hotel shine. They were so nice and accommodating to our needs, it was a great experience for me, my husband, and infant. They brought us a crib for our baby, and assembled it for us. When we realized there wasn't a fridge in the room to store our baby's milk, I was worried, but we asked the front desk, and they brought us a fridge promptly. Every time we came in and out of the hotel, we were greeted by the front desk, and engaged in friendly conversations. We only stayed here one night, but my husband and I were very pleased. read more

The nite desk clerk was nice. Clean room. Bed was to hard. Breakfast Bad and no French vanilla for my coffee and still none the next day.

Great hotel for this price range. They are currently doing renovations. We were in an already renovated room which was nicely appointed, clean, and quiet even during construction. read more
