I have stayed here multiple times and this is a very consistent hotel at providing a comfortable, clean, and pleasant stay. The rooms are the standard Hampton Inn rooms that are well-maintained and kept clean. I checked in quickly, got my digital key, and was in my room in no time. I was trying to get on the road early and it was nice that the breakfast was up and open a few minutes before the 6:00 start time that they had announced. The breakfast was fresh, hot, and tasty. Located on the south side of town access to the hotel has also improved lately as the construction in the area is now completed. Further development of the area now has an Arbys and a Taco Bueno available with a quick walk across the parking lot. I definitely recommend staying here if you are going through the area. read more

Our regular stop on our travels to see my parents when they winter in TX. We checked in a little after 9:00 and seemed to bother the attendant when I asked for our waters but after 11 hours in the road, it's a small delight. An oasis in the middle of nowhere. There's a Walmart across the street, a Mexican restaurant next door, and not much else. One of the main reasons I booked was because of the EV charger. That was a nice bonus. The room itself was pretty good. Cozy bed, clean bathroom, and zero noise from neighbors or outside. We didn't take advantage of the free breakfast, so I can't comment on that but all in all, we enjoyed our stay. read more

Rooms are are comfortable enough and the front desk people are friendly and helpful, which is the only reason I can bring myself to give even 2 stars. On August 1st, our luggage was stolen out of our truck. We placed it in the back, bungeed it down, and went back to the room to grab the last of our things. At the very most, 15 minutes to return to the truck and find that we had been robbed. The officer who took our statement informed us that the police department had increased patrols around the hotel because this had been an ongoing problem for quite awhile, of which we were not informed by the hotel. We were told that the hotel has cameras that would have likely captured the crime, but the hotel manager (Dallas Ramos) was not on duty at the time and he is the only one who can pull the footage. So we called back during his work hours, spoke with him directly, and were told that he "didn't have time" to look at that 15 minutes of footage because he "was the only one there". That was two weeks ago and we have yet to hear back. All told, the contents of the bags was $1700 minimum (possibly more, that's just what we had to spend to replace essential medical equipment and clothing). The bags themselves will cost around $400 minimum to replace. The place is not safe. You can't take your eyes off of your property, and the only employees who care at all are not empowered to help. read more

We travel a lot, and normally stay at Hampton Inn. While doing work in the Texas panhandle we have stayed at Hampton Imm Dumas, TX. This appears to be a very new hotel. If for no other reason it appears cleaner due to that alone. It had a sparkling clean pool. It has a bank of windows to the west and the sun literally beams off the clean water in the afternoons. And the temp was just right for a hot day. This hotel staff should teach other Hampton Inns how to care for a pool! Breakfast was a bag that had bottle of water, orange, Apple, nutragrain bar and a muffin. It is right across from Walmart and has many restaurants near by. We chose to drive a couple miles away and eat at Hoggs BBQ Also highly recommend that restaurant. Given all they are faced with during covid, rooms appear clean. Same comfy beds and bedding as other Hampton Inns. But this is truly one of the nicest ones we've stayed at, and we've seen probably a hundred of them across the country. read more

Great rooms! Very clean and smelled fresh. The beds were really comfy and the pillows were nice as well. They have the cutest self-service coffee bar right in front of the elevators with regular, robust, decaf, and hot water. They have creamer pumps as well as half and half pods for you to use. The cups have adorable mustaches on them! The breakfast spread is simple but good. The main things I saw were a waffle maker, cereals, oatmeal, juice, and some sausage! I saw a sign that says they have complimentary toiletries if you forget a toothbrush, shaving tools, etc. read more

I really found this peoperty to be very nice and conveniently located in Dumas. I was further impressed when I received a complimentary room upgrade. This Hampton is a decent small town option outside of Amarillo. Rooms are decent. People are fairly friendly. They do have a decent selection to eat in their little food mart in case you got into town late & things were closed. Decent experience. read more

Hotel was clean enough, but only one chair at the desk, and no luggage rack. When two people stay, we would expect two places to sit. Front desk did manage to get us another desk chair, thankfully. Other than that, relatively quiet and convenient location. read more

We worked extensively with Mr. Dallas Ramos, the hotel manager, on rooming needs and the meeting room we used for the rehearsal dinner. Mr. Ramos was great to work with and our guests with reservations from around the country were handled flawlessly. We were very pleased with the service we received. Overall nice hotel. It's very clean, feels safe and conveniently located. I've stayed here several times as I passed through. One thing I will say is, they have a really weird policy about knocking on your door in the morning when they slip an invoice under it. EVEN if you ask them not to. Once it was as early as six am. I mean if you still owed them money I guess it would make sense but all of mine have been "payed in full $0" So probably not a good choice for light sleepers. read more

I continued my search to Dumas. I was hesitant to stay in a smaller location. No worries it was fantastic! The breakfast gets a five *+. The staff had everything toasty. Just wonderful. We usually stay at Hilton Garden Inns or Hilton's. I am beginning to rethink this. The Hamptons are great. Oh we paid 137.00$ easy cancelation, king suite on Hilton app. Kudos to a great staff! We didn't actually stay here and I am so glad. We made a same day reservation on Friday, July 24th when we left CO. As we were traveling, we realized we'd were going to be able go further than we initially thought. Once I had service around 5:30 p.m., I called to cancel. When I spoke to the person and explained, the first thing she said was "we can't cancel this late. We have a 24 hour policy." Having worked in the hotel business, I knew a property can generally override those rules. I paused and explained I had only made the reservation that morning and it wasn't late: their chances of being able to resell the room were good. I was met with "I didn't say I WOULDN'T cancel. You need to calm down." Um, I was perfectly calm. The woman went from 0-60 in a second. I think she was angry because I knew she could cancel it. She continued to talk over and yell at me ("what's your name?! I asked you for your name!!!"). I told her my name, she didn't understand, told me not to get attitude when I said it again and spelled it, supposedly canceled the reservation and hung up on me. She was completely unprofessional. I don't like to leave a negative review. I usually just let it go but this woman was incredibly belligerent. I will be reporting the incident to Hampton Inn's (Hilton) corporate offices. read more

After a less-than-enjoyable stay at a nearby hotel on the way to Colorado, we decided to switch to the Hampton Inn & Suites for our return trip home. What a nice change! The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the staff was incredibly friendly (thank you, Talle, for your help!), they had complimentary beer and wine, a tasty complimentary breakfast in a nice dining area, a nice pool and relaxing patio area out back. It's a litte more pricey than their near-by competitor, but it's well worth it. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip through town. read more

Our church group stops on our way to\from Colorado for youth camp. We use Hilton Points to grab a block of rooms. The hotel is always clean, welcoming and they treat us great. If you are passing through this is a great place to stay and you've got a Wal-Mart across the highway to stock up on supplies, gas, ice, etc. read more

Hotel was nice. The free breakfast and beer and wine was a great addition. However, when we got into our room, the housekeeping staff did NOT do a good job. There was trash on the desk, a half drank water bottle on the counter in the bathroom, the ironing board and iron was left out and grossest of all, someone's shampoo/conditioner and razor in the shower/tub along with a half used bar of Irish Spring on the floor of the tub. Makes me wonder if they even cleaned the sheets. Ew. Will rethink possible future stays here. read more

I'd give it a 5 if the hot tub wasn't foamy & trashed (wet towels all around, empty soda cans, snack wrappers) when we visited. Perhaps some young kids were there unsupervised. We couldn't have been happier with our stay here! We're on our way to Colorado to ski from Dallas. This is a great place to break up the road trip if you have kids. The kids spent a few hours in the indoor pool/sauna/hot tub area. They loved the free cookies and hot chocolate. We loved the free beer/wine! The furnishings and room are really nice and comfortable. My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Dumas TX on April 18th of this year. My initial impression was favorable. However, we noticed that the refrigerator in the room had a foul smell when I opened it. We should have complained but it was late and we were only planning on spending the night and leaving first thing in the morning, and we're just not usually complainers. So we just didn't open the refrigerator again. We checked out in the morning and went on our way. A few days later I notice that I've been charged an additional $100.00 by Hampton Inn in Dumas. I call them. They inform me that I was charged for a property violation for the stinky refrigerator. I protest, tell the person my story, and they put me on hold to speak with manager and then tell me the charge will be reversed. I wait to see charge credited back to my card but it doesn't happen. I call back, go through the same drill, and the person on phone tells me that he will talk to GM and call me back. I don't hear back from him. I call back again, he puts me on hold to speak with GM and comes back and tells me the charge will not be reversed. I ask to speak with GM and I get their voice mail. I leave my contact information, but I haven't heard back from them. I generally don't like to complain, but I feel like I've been treated very unfairly and I'm really unhappy about this. I travel and stay in hotels fairly often and have never had a charge for a property violation before. I've gone from a potentially regular customer to someone who would warn anyone I come across about my experience. I will dispute this charge because it's just not right! read more
