They were going to move me into a unit with a new tub, and then they fumbled the tub order. I was put into a unit with a tub that had an obvious patch, and this patch soon gave out. They put tape that was *not* waterproof over the hole. Despite communication, they wasted MONTHS not fixing it! ROACHES were coming up from the rotted wood, and I was standing in water every time I took a shower. When I reported the roaches, she placed an order a MONTH OUT to have a bug spray come. Then when they *did* finally call a contractor out for the tub, Denise "forgot" to call him on the day we agreed on service, when I could be home to supervise. I never met this man, and I have a cat. I was told that he "might come in the next two days," and since the situation had gotten so nasty to live in, I agreed to have him enter my home IF Denise stayed to supervise and make sure it was ventilated. What did she do? LEFT A STRANGE MAN IN MY HOME WHO GAS CHAMBERED MY CAT! NO VENTILATION! NO WINDOWS CRACKED! NOT EVEN THE BATHROOM FAN WAS ON! I came home from work at midnight to an apartment that made me cough, made me nauseous, and made me faint. I had to move myself and my cat to a friend's place for the night and then move out entirely after. The chemicals had soaked into my CLOTHES, my SHEETS, my PILLOWS. I had to take my cat to the vet because he was vomiting. He is blessedly okay, but I had to go in and out of that place before work to move my items. It made me so foggy headed. During this process, Denise REPEATEDLY claimed that the chemicals were "safe." What were these chemicals, you may ask? Epoxy resin for fiberglass. The very same epoxy resin that parents have been clamoring to have removed from children's toys, and the substance whose fumes are KNOWN to cause irritation and even have people develop lifelong allergies due to exposure. She dismissed me entirely, refuses to give the real business name of this so-called "Mr. Happy," whose business I cannot find ANYWHERE, to which I have no choice but to believe that she brought an UNLICENSED MAN INTO MY HOME UNSUPERVISED. While I was reeling from the sleeplessness, constant sickness, and helplessness of the entire situation, she was claiming ignorance and saying he did the same thing to her cats, the smell went away in two days, so I was being sensitive. THE CHEMICAL SMELL DID NOT DISSIPATE UNTIL THE 29TH OF MAY. SHE GAS CHAMBERED MY CAT ON THE 7TH. This place DID NOT PROVIDE NOTICE THAT I NEEDED TO SIGN TO VACATE. I have this woman admitting that she did not place the paper saying I needed to sign to vacate by June 1st or I would lose my security deposit until JUNE 9TH. THESE PEOPLE EXPECT YOU TO TIME TRAVEL TO MAKE UP FOR THEIR INABILITY TO DO THE MOST BASIC TASKS. They then charged me a cleaning fee rather than take it out of the security deposit that, in my opinion, they STOLE from me. BEWARE THIS PLACE! If you are a smart tenant who records conversations (as is allowed by GA being a 1 party consent state), Denise will ambush you on your way to and from work or the garbage can so that she can hide her incompetence. She will pretend to be nice and stab you in the back later. My tub had been broken since DECEMBER. For weeks that have been told they are approved not to worry the apartment is there's. Then two weeks ago my daughter-in-law called to find out her move in date and she was told that the application is pending that she "the manager" forgot to send a paper of to the compliance dept. And all decisions have to finalize through the compliance dept. OK fine, they waited another week. Heard the same excuse on why she doesn't have a move in date for them yet but not to worry they are approved the apartment is being held. Finally last Friday she called and said that everything is set they just in to come in today (Monday) with a security deposit to receive their move in date. That brings us current. As of today she the manager "the idiot" called my son and told him ops sorry I can't accept your GI bill as proof of income after all and your not approved. So we called corporate to find out the WTF and corporate told me that Every apartment community operators on their own and all decisions are made by the manager not corporate and they don't have a compliance department and had no idea what we were talking about. Basically the rude idiot for a manager jerked these kids around for a month for no reason. So, with my help they now have an apartment elsewhere. Screw them. Also, the management company they have listed on the different websites and brochures is old. I had to call around to other apartment communities to get the new management company information. Update: My kids really wanted to live here so I provided the manager with proof that the GI Bill is income. Three days later she came back and said now your over the income requirements so can you add a fifth person? Maybe a friend that doesn't have income just say they live with you. She told my daughter in law that only people that make over 50% of there income can live in the second floor and under 50% lives on the first floor. That's discrimination!!! Don't rent here.
