10 Review When all seemed lost as a result of the…read moredevastating Hurricane Michael, my Knights in shining armor are Art's Construction. Here are the three (3) reasons for this statement: Hurricane Michael took the roofs of both condos in Panama City - There were many roofers that I contacted who were too busy to even answer my call or were quoting prices that were unaffordable. In fact, it cost $$$$$ just to "tarp" the hole in the roof. At that point, I was ready to "throw in the towel". However, not one to give up too easily, I made one more call. That call was to Art's Construction. Sheila Wambo answered and said, "Art's Construction, how can I help you". The words I was hoping to hear and believe. So, long story short, both condos received a fabulous new roof for a very fair price within days of that phone call. My heroes! As a landlord, I had to accept the repair priority of full-time families being number one, so I waited 2 1/2 years for the next extensive list of repairs. I hired many different contractors, all who made many promises but found "difficulty" with keeping those promises. It was as if I were a Priest or Psychologist listening to all of their tales of woe. All while making payments hoping for some promised outcome, but never quite getting the results that were promised. Then, as I was, again, about to abandon any hope of providing a tenant a home this year, there was another storm. So, another roofing repair was needed for one of the condos. I contacted Art's Construction. Sheila answered the phone and said, "Art's Construction, how can I help you". Art's Construction came through with the kind of exemplary response and performance. They repaired everything within a few days. This result prompted my question, Sheila, does your company handle any kind of repair/renovations? She responded with, "yes, we do". Music to my ears. Waiting 2 1/2 years for repairs took its toll. Not to mention all the "patchy" repair work completed by many different contractors. Art's Construction stepped in and provided me the whole, honest truth. Sheila assigned David Barlup, as the Project Manager to address the "challenges". David and I hit it off right away. He gave me the confidence and trust that I craved. He outlined the whole repair plan and was very forthright and forthcoming with his ideas and recommended updates, repairs, renewal, and schedule for completion. Once we came to agreement, David assigned Mr Gerald Simmons to one of the major taskings, i.e., installing a brand new kitchen and replacing both bathroom vanities. Long story short, David and Mr Simmons took the bull by the horns and have accomplished everything on time and within budget. We went from "Homeless shanty" to beautiful condo available for rent within two (2) weeks. Whatever your home improvement needs are call Art's Construction! From a very satisfied and extremely happy client!

They did my roof in December of 2019. The next two years I was mentally gaslighted, (getting calls…read morefrom their telemarketers trying to sell more roofs) " everyone's house is this bad or worse". - Along the way as I continue to try to hire other GC's that was the big hotspot that was there a big money place "the roof" I had two different project managers, I did walk-throughs with the house numerous times, I'm out of pocket $4000 for being out of the house for them to come while Don Jackson what is supposed to be the superior superintendent, he had the house he asked me if he could cut into the house, he never set foot in the house and I was away for one month. Out-of-pocket over $4000. By the spring of that year, he showed up again, with a new crew, and told my neighbor to check the windows to see if they needed to be replaced.?? My house had over 6 figures damages. I've done the best I could getting it repaired little by little by myself and it has been an absolute living hell and nightmare. damages, and that's after the repairs that I have been doing individually on my own, because of ARC Construction. The garage door fell in almost on my car. They removed the doorhandle from my door because I kept telling them my door would not stay closed, he wouldn't believe me about that until it finally stayed closed for good it would not open. He left me without a door handle on my front door for over a year. Sadly I look over other reviews, and throughout all of that time yes they were all working on homes and repairing houses. They were even repairing houses in homes for people that never were not residents of Panama City Florida I Bay County or impacted by hurricane Michael, sending photos back-and-forth. I didn't even know that they really truly had moved on to really repairing houses until HomeGoods opened over a year later, and I met a lady who is shopping who is about to move back into her house that ART Construction had been working on. I never said or did anything out-of-the-way to any of those employees. The first was Gary and he went missing with Danny. After that was Don Jackson and he pretty much stayed missing, or had an excuse one after the other. Eventually the roof was inspected a year or two after it was installed, it failed inspection due to the flashing, they held onto a bad air quality report of mold and mildew that they did not disclose to me. Did they had the audacity when I got fed up, to send me a cease-and-desist letter with $350 in it. Stay away from those people. How is anyone ever to guarantee that they won't be there next victim?

When I said that I wanted an estimate based on supplies and labor, he absolutely refused. When my elderly mother said that all she wanted to see was an honest estimate, he snapped at her for calling him dishonest. Finally just before we kicked his sorry butt off our property, he said "You want an estimate, here's your estimate... everything your insurance company gave you, and then some" Absolutely disgusting behavior, terrible customer service, and not just a scamming POS company, but trying to force the hands of Hurricane victims to scam their insurance companies by proxy. I would rather live in a condemned roofless house than give this garbage company a dime. The worst of it is I see their trucks at big projects like high schools and government thing, so they're still scamming me via taxes. And they're probably scamming enough money that they won't go out of business like they should.

Are you looking for a reliable company that ACTUALLY shows up when they are scheduled? Are you looking for owners that stand behind their work? Look no further. This is not a company that will leave you in the lurch. You can Google the jobs and work that they have done, to see the craftsmanship. As far as I am concerned any review discounting Centennial Roofing, is a bogus review. After Hurricane Michael and the absolute gouging and mess left behind by other contractors, I can only recommend Centennial. If you have an option, choose the best. Please, Please don't settle. As we all know, our lives and homes depend on it.
