If she worked at a different office, I would go out of my way to have my appointments with her. The tech was okay. She made a comment that I think was intended as a joke but didn't land with me. We did bond over some personal family things, so the customer service on her part evened out. The guy at the front desk needs help. I have a feeling he's someone's nephew or something, and they felt bad for him so they put him on the phones. Every interaction I had with him was awful and left me feeling really frustrated. Please get this guy some training or a job where he doesn't have to interact with customers. I talked on the phone with him a few times (relaying insurance information, confirming appointments, etc) over the course of 2 weeks, but every single interaction felt like it was his first time ever using the phone or speaking to a customer. He called me to confirm my 3p appointment, then called me back to ask me if I could come in at 2p (yes), then called me back within the same hour to ask me if I could actually come in at noon (also yes). No hello, no attempt to relate to my experience as a patient, no thank you or have a good day or see you at the office. The last time I visited the office, he was very confused and couldn't find my appointment (instead giving me the full name of an entirely different patient several times, which seems like a HIPAA violation), even though I had spoken to him the day before confirming that same appointment. He asked me to have a seat while he tried to find my appointment. Twenty-five minutes later, he had still given me no reassurance that I was in the right place at the right time. I would have gotten up to ask if there were any issues, but I was shortly called into the back before I had the need/chance. When I tried to make an appointment for my next visit, he was busy on his cell phone. I stood patiently for a few moments to allow him to finish, and then he gave me a gruff "give me a minute" when I said hi to get his attention. He was very confused when I asked to make an appointment in 6 months for my next cleaning, as if he had never heard of such a thing before. He then said that he'd check with someone else before making the appointment, and I watched him get up from his computer, walk to the back of the front office, then lean on the counter to play on his phone some more. I made a noise of disbelief and he looked up, offended and ready to defend whatever he was doing. I guess the commotion got the attention of a different front desk person because she came over and was able to help me without any issue. When I asked her what was up with that guy, she gave me a knowing look and said, yeah, we're getting someone new on Monday. I called a few days ago to make an emergency appointment. Guess who answered the phone and made my experience as difficult as possible? I ended up going to a different dentist the next day where I had a great experience, and my whole family and I are making the switch to the new office. I am never going to Western Dental again, and I'm telling everyone I know about my awful experience.

I was told at Dr. Bahrami's office that I had multiple cavities and needed a root canal possibly…read moreeven an extraction. The tooth in question already had a filling placed by this same office, and Dr. Bahrami (who isn't even a root canal specialist) told me it was now "too close to the nerve" and offered to do a root canal and crown for "super cheap." Instead of giving me a thoughtful explanation, he blamed me, raised his voice, and left me sitting in the chair mid-appointment with no plan other than "come back for the root canal." Something felt off, so I got a second opinion from an actual specialist -- and the result? I had no cavities, I did not need a root canal, and the tooth was completely healthy. Let that sink in. If I had trusted them, they would have drilled into a living, healthy tooth and pushed me into unnecessary, irreversible treatment. But this isn't just about one visit I've been going to this office since I was a child. I still remember being held down, barely numbed, and having dental work done while I was crying and terrified with no compassion. That memory has stayed with me for years, and I'm now 20. This office doesn't listen, they don't explain, and in my experience, they absolutely do not care about the patient only about doing the procedures they want to do. To make things worse, the receptionist never answered her phone and quoted me over $3,000 for multiple fillings I didn't need, plus a $1,500 root canal that was not necessary. If you're reading this and you've been told you need something major get a second opinion. It could save your tooth. It saved mine.

I used to recommend this place to everyone I knew but after what I have experienced in the past and…read morenow I'd rather warn people. In the past they would offer to do dental cleaning and when they would notice you hadn't used the previous years benefits they would be so pushy about you doing extra work to use those benefits. It was odd but they would do it. This last time I went I was advised I needed certain work to be done plus dental cleaning. They were being so pushy on me doing it then and there. I'm glad I walked out and tried another dentist because they let me know insurance didn't require copay. Well guess what this office said I did. They made me pay $75. Beware when coming here
