We were looking to try out some traditional desserts that we had never experienced before. Of the many food carts parked side by side, this one seemed to attract our attention the most. We stood by and watched how the Marquesita is made. Batter is added to a crepe pan and cooked made to order. A variety of fillings were available to choose from, but we asked for their most popular food item. Apparently shredded cheese and nutella is a favorite choice of the locals. Joe K and I shared this unusual dessert combo, and the blend was better than I expected. I wasn't quite sure at first if I would like cheese and chocolate together, but it turned out pretty tasty after all. It was a nice ending to our all day food truck food binge at the park!

Marquesitas are pastries, to go pastries to be exact, rolled into some sort of a fried crispy tortilla, with cheese and a dash of nutella. Granted, there are a few variations, but the one I got appeared to be the most common. The flavor combo is amazing and it's a true street food dessert that you cannot miss while traveling! The truck stays open late, I came close to 11pm. Sometimes the most unexpected combinations get you, so you if you are a mildly adventurous eater, make sure to give this a try!

They had amazing customer service even though they were very busy. We had tacos de carnitas, lengua, tripa and cabeza. We also had the cafe de ola, horchata and the flan. Everything was amazing!! My favorite were the carnitas tacos. Ambiance is lively, full of locals, many families looking to have a great meal. This is our new spot when in Cancun. The cochinita torta (spicy and with onions) for 35pesos is an absolute steal. We got this and tacos from another place for my last meal and I wish we had just gotten two tortas or some tacos (which were 16 pesos) from here! I came at about 10am.
