We got the kids meal, a chicken schnitzel salad, the schnitz and chips and the status quo schnitzel wrap which came with coleslaw and cheese. Food was actually pretty tasty, i have seen mixed reviews about this place but it did not disappoint for me. Staff are friendly too. Overall, good first time visit.

Anyway, this chicken shop is closer to home than the nearest MacDonald's anyway. What can I say? The place makes some decent hot chips and charcoal chicken. These foil packages are the ones my parents used to take home after watching a cousin's game of footy on the weekend, or a day heading out to the beach (even though one wasn't always enough to feed my family). So why not have more than one? They cost under $15 each. And if you don't feel like chicken, they make some good burgers straight off the grill too.

Chicken strips are sometimes a little raw, but the Portuguese chickens are great and can be taken home to make stellar sandwiches. I totally recommend stopping in if you're in the area and want to ditch Maccas for a cheap bite. Just remember to bring cash or use the atm outside as they don't take card! The owners/workers are super nice and helpful as well. They also sell heaps of other stuff from salmon to chicken, though I haven't strayed away from a classic cheeseburger and fries.

A quarter of chicken and chips will leave you bursting, so much is provided, and it'll be so tasty you'll not want to stop. Portuguese chicken is fantastic, so are their marinated drumsticks, devil wings, wedges & potato bake, and most of their daily specials that change from day to day. Their chicken schnitzel is where they really let things down. It's always over-tenderised and they try to recover the flavour too much with herbs and spices, over-doing it. The over-tenderizing also leaves it a little thin so it often gets over-cooked too. Their lasagne, while fantastic, is provided to the chains cold and when ordered gets heated unevenly in a microwave. It really lets it down. It'd be nice if they could warm it up some other way, or in a device that doesn't warm it up so unevenly. I used to be a regular at their Chatswood outlet, but now visit this one at Neutral Bay almost exclusively - purely due to convenience and current location of home/work. If you're too tired to cook or just want a yummy treat, they have delicious whole chickens and you can pick from a variety of sides. I love their mashed potato and creamed spinach. Although they specialise in chicken dishes, they have a whole bunch of other things. In fact, I think being called a chicken store is deceiving because they are so much more than that. For lunch you can pop in for a burger or some fish and chips, for late-night binges there are kebabs and for anything in between there is everything else. The prices are bloody fantastic, you'll hardly find such a bargain elsewhere in Bondi. They are a bit no-frills but you can't taste it in the food. They are best for take-out, not much of a vibe in the store to eat but apart from that they haven't put a foot wrong.

We shared a half chicken/chips/salad combo pack. We opted for the lemon seasoning on the chicken. It was fine, but didn't wow us.
