In today's world, there are not many companies out there looking to put clients before the almighty dollar. Well, I am here to say Ed at E & K did just that for me today! I cannot say enough good things about my dealing with Ed over the past 10 days or so. If you need someone in this field who not only understands the word integrity but is living by it; than I highly recommend Ed and E & K Septic and Excavating. We hired Esch's Septic Service in a time crunch after running into challenges on a large project we…read morestarted last year, building a barn and relocating a rustic cabin that needed full utilities. Their team stepped in quickly and professionally, getting us on the schedule for a complete septic install for both buildings. From the start, Jason set the tone for what became an outstanding experience. He visited our site within days of committing to the job and spent a full hour walking us through the terrain challenges and what to expect. His patience, transparency, and willingness to educate us gave us complete confidence that we had chosen the right contractor. Communication throughout the installation was phenomenal. Since we weren't always on-site, the team kept us updated with regular progress reports and even sent pictures so we could follow along. Andy and Keith, who handled the installation, were honest, patient, and upfront whenever unexpected issues arose, something we appreciated more than they know! This project turned out to be far more complex than originally anticipated, with significant tree removal, elevation challenges, and extensive groundwork. Despite all of that, the Esch team delivered exceptional workmanship and professionalism every step of the way. After many building and remodeling projects over the years, we can honestly say Esch's Septic Service is one of the best contractors we have ever worked with. Their integrity, communication, and quality of work are unmatched. We fully intend to continue working with them as our project moves forward, especially knowing they offer much more than septic services. If you're looking for a team you can trust, who communicates clearly, and who takes pride in doing the job right, Esch's Septic Service is the one to call!

Management said that since I wasn't a local I could wait--wish I would have known that when they took my money. Promises to start the work on a specific date went by time and time again. Clearly my deposit financed their employees for awhile. They did finish October 31st, long after closing my cabin--then they wanted 20% more than the estimate and right away--laughable. I lost a full summer at the cabin not to mention a freelance client in Traverse City because I couldn't live there for the summer--costing me money and losing a client job. I might not be a local but I have hired a lot of great, honest trades people in Lewiston and buy supplies in town instead on transporting them from home. Our money could have been gaining interest in the bank instead on the hands of people who lies all the time and never answer the phone or returns calls. If they are not capable of doing the job, said so and let people find other companies more responsable than them.
