WASTE OF TIME AND EXPERIENCE!!! The school does not care about you as a human being. They will just suck you dry of your GI Bill benefits. As long as they get their money they do not care. They put up a front saying how successful you will be but that is not the case. They will terminate you for being late because of traffic and don't care if you commute over an hour to get there even if you are a straight A student. And when you show up to figure out why you are being terminated, Mr pierce, the so called nice guy doesn't care what you have to say about anything. He will treat you like dirt if you are late. And repeated that if he was an employer that he would fire you for being late. Not a great leader by a long shot and should not be in position of power because he takes it straight to his head and thinks he is better than everyone. read more

If there were 0 star options that's what I would review Hallmark University. The staff and academic plan is what ruins this school. The program is very disorganized and has many issues the school neglects to fix. The staff is 100% the worst part, due to their lack of care for their student lives, morale and overall care. They would rather collect their pay check and ruin lives then actually do their jobs. Hallmark has to be the worst college on the market. If you are looking for a college, do not go here unless you want to deal with major bias and soft staff that will counsel you for every little thing. If you have problems and bring it up to the dean, counselors or any of the other staff they don't take it seriously and look for away to turn it into a counseling on you. The academic plan is thrown together with Elmer's glue and students tears. If you have a job quit, because they do not care and will not work with you. One big joke - The faculty could careless about a teacher not providing the right tutoring and also, doesn't care if a Win Serv class has had 3 teachers for one class. Don't waste your time and money. i have student loan debt and got no certification due to the fact I had 3 different teachers for win sever class and my intro to networking teacher never showed up for tutoring on binary and subnet stuff. They may not have sports teams but they have what students need=education and practical experience. They really care about students. For instance, they take attendance and want u to attend class. Miss a class and don't inform your teacher they reach out to see what the issue is. If they didn't care about u as an individual would they care if ur in class or not? Some teachers do not care and there is no one who wants to help students after they are enrolled. Teachers do not post grades until they feel like it. On the first day one instructor told the class he didn't care about macroeconomics and was only there for a paycheck. When the dean heard about this he made a joke that he did not care about macroeconomics either and he only got a C in that class. Nice. Guess nothing will be learned in this class either. But they did say they will sit in on the class in a couple weeks to check out the teacher. Yeah. Alot of good that will do. read more

To those wanting to attend Hallmark University College of Aeronautics you must first understand that it is a Part 147 school, which basically means in order to be eligible to test for your Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licenses you must complete X amount of contact hours and complete the FAA mandated curriculum or have so many months of OJT. There is no leniency with the contact hours, miss too much time and you will be kept back and you can pay for another term. This is true of all 147 schools. Currently I am paying over $3,000 a term so i would highly suggest you don't miss too many days, also pay attention to what they are charging you as many students are being charged for general ed classes they didn't take and some instructors have warned to save extra money because there will be hidden fees after completion of the school. What these extra fees are and how much is unknown but it is something that lingers in the back of my mind. Their radio and tv ads will have you believing that you will be constantly working in the hanger and if you take a tour of the campus you will be showed a bunch of cool equipment but don't be fooled. As i said earlier it is a part 147 school and 90% of your time there will be spent in the classroom, as far as hanger time goes you will complete 15 or so projects (those testable by the Designated Mechanic Examiner) and the majority of the equipment there you will never touch. Also if you like participation awards then you're in luck, every term you will have an award ceremony where everyone gets an award. I would really love to see this go away as the trash cans are usually filled with these awards following the ceremony and it takes away from class time. Side note: The ads say you will have class in a Boeing 727 but that was hauled away months ago and the only class i got there was a quick trip to find different types of corrosion. The majority of the instructors there are great, very knowledgable and will do whatever they can to help you. The real problem is the senior leadership and I have seen may times where they would rather just say NO instead of working with the student. They constantly change leadership and create new titles for them which can be confusing. This has been an ongoing issue but with the most recent change in management i am confident that things will improve, i will follow up if i am wrong. I have mentioned earlier that each term is about $3,000 and total tuition is roughly $39,000. If the tuition cost is too great then St. Phillips College(SPC) whose curriculum mirrors Hallmark is a public school and their tuition is about 1/3 of the price. Remember the goal is to complete the hours and test for your license, where you go to school isn't really that important. Both schools have stated that they will help with job placement and I have seen companies like Mesa, Skywest, GE, Cessna, and Lockhead recruiting at Hallmark. I don't know about SPC but I imagine they're visited by recruiters also, if anyone knows please reply to the post. Class sizes vary from 15-30 students so you will either find yourself rushed to complete a task or have a bunch of extra time on your hands to sit around and wait for the day to end. Youtube has been predominantly the main teaching tool along with experienced students (mostly prior military) sharing their experience and knowledge; not to say the instructors don't help. I don't know if this is the schools intention but you will mostly teach yourself which oddly enough does help your learn. You will have mandatory clean up occasionally where everyone "cleans" the hangers but its mostly students standing around bitching about having to clean. You are on airport property so don't be surprised if you walk out to the parking lot and find tickets on many vehicles, this was more common in the past and I haven't really seen it lately. This was intended to be an honest review of the school and not a bash session. I wanted to put this information out so people could make an informed decision. I am halfway through the program and plan to graduate with Hallmark. I attempted to transfer to SPC a little while ago but was informed that they would not accept my credits because Hallmark was not accredited. Not sure which accreditation they are referring too but keep that in mind. It is a school you must complete in order to test with a DME who is a completely different entity from the school and is not connected with the University(don't call it a trade school they don't like that) don't get wrapped up in all the ads and what you might read on their website all part 147 schools will be generally ran the same way and will have the same requirements. I graduated from Hallmarks Nursing program. The program still has a lot of bugs it needs to work out. One thing I found distracring was the instructor turn over in the middle of courses, this caused a lot of issues and students suffered. However, there are good instructors there who legitimately care, but they usually end up leaving. Mrs. Shields is the interim director of nursing and I believe she is doing the best she can genuinely cares about the students, she is not blind to the issues the school is having and is trying to make the appropriate changes. The nursing program needs a set of curriculum and to just stick with it, it was constantly changing which really isn't fair to the students. Also the school needs to invest more money into the SIM lab, it's embarassing that the instructors have to be so creative to make up for a lack of supplies. Instead of a tocometer (even a training one) they just used an old computer mouse. The list goes on for ways they are forced to get creative because the school won't buy them quality material. There are a lot of negative reviews on Hallmark, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone as their first option, but I have to be fair to the school, because at the end of the day I graduated and I passed my NCLEX the first time and was hired immediately to work. If the school wants the nursing program to be successful they need to better support their instructors and to invest more money into it. The nursing instructors won't say it, but you need only look at them and you can tell something is going on at the school that they are stuggling with, the stress is apparent but it seems like they only stay on because while they may not like their circumstances they do care for their students and are passionate about education. read more
