I disagree with a previous Qyper, the store is very convenient for students as you can hop off the bus at the bus station and walk a direct line of sight straight to Sainsburys. And then get a bus back to (virtually) right outside your doorstep. With the recent in-store re-work of shelving, new non-food aisles have been introduced in-line with what other supermarkets are offering nowadays. A future minor extension to the store will also increase the range of goods sold and allow for greater mobility throughout the store. The checkout staff are helpful and welcoming every visit, and the shelves never seem to really suffer from poor stock control. The Deli, Meats and Seafood counters are all staffed by well trained and lovely people who try to offer you value, local produce and tasty goods.

I was very happy with my purchase. they stock all the good watch brands - Omega, tag Heuer, Cartier etc etc. And they do sell some stuff second hand - although even then it's probably out of most people's normal bracket. but for that special purchase they have some gorgeous items and hey sometimes we have to treat ourselves. or our loved ones in this instance

Now we visited there on a Saturday afternoon about 2pm and maybe this explains the stuff we found. The salad bar was none existent, the carvery - a hunk of what looked like beef looked dried out. Pizzas were hideous - think cheapo frozen ones and we didn't even go anywhere near the pasta. The chinese options were ok - but nothing more than ok. Sometimes food isn't about how much food can you shove down you for the cheapest amount possible - well for me it's not. I won't be going back, I'd rather spend a couple of quid on a butty and enjoy it then 6 quid on all you can eat low quality food.
