I'm really angry about my recent experience at the HANLEY-STOKE branch as they damaged my vehicle…read moreand I now have to pay an additional £150-£250 at a main dealer to have the damage repaired! I took my vehicle to this branch for new front pads and new front tyres (fitted by Afsar Ali) but as soon as I left the branch I noticed the service light flickering on and off. I had an urgent job to get to that day so I couldn't go back straight away and I then didn't use the vehicle again for another 5 days. The next time I drove the vehicle the service light started flickering again and I also noticed that the brakes were squealing quite badly too so I contacted the manager who advised that brake noise is common with new pads and I should drive the vehicle and allow time for the pads to settle in. The noise got worse and worse over the next few weeks and the flickering service light became permanent with a "check brake wear" alert on the dash panel so I took the vehicle back for another inspection as soon as Xmas/New year was over. I was then told (and shown) that the ABS brake sensor wire had been torn out of the brake sensor socket but nobody at the branch could fix it and they couldn't get the parts either. When I asked how this could've happened I was given a series of ridiculous answers from the duty manager (Afsar Ali) because he didn't want to admit that it was him or one of the other mechanics that caused the damage when they changed the pads a few weeks earlier. The wire wasn't torn out when the vehicle was first taken into the branch as they would've noticed it and mentioned it if it was, and the "flickering service light" and "brake warning" issues only started immediately after the pads were changed so it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the damage was caused by the mechanic that performed the work. There's no way that I can prove the damage was caused in the branch but they know it as well as I do. Thanks for giving me a great start to 2018 Afsar Ali. Shame you're not man enough to admit your mistakes and I hope karma catches up with you one day!

On an obviously very busy Friday afternoon. I was informed that it may take until the next Wednesday before the car could be assessed. By the next Wednesday, the car had been assessed (I suspect an engineer stayed late for this), the sizable part had been ordered, received and fitted. Communication was excellent,staring on Monday morning.I collected the car that afternoon, it had been thoroughly cleaned inside and out. I'd been using the car as a mobile skip as attics, sheds and gardens needed to be cleared out prior to moving house, so the vehicle was in bit of a state. Some moss was growing in places. I highly recommend Central Garages, the staff went above and beyond assessing and completing an unexpected job added to a full schedule. Many thank to Central Garages, Lichfield. I have personally found them very reliable and good value for money, great service from them and there always willing to help. I've been using A & J vehicle repairs for MOT and any required repairs for the last 3 years since…read moremoving to the area. the first time I had contact with them was because I had a problem with my exhaust, part of it was loose, it was making banging noises and blowing out smoke.I had taken my car with that problem to a well known leading car repairer as I had my MOT booked with them later that week, and they had let me go with the car in that state, no help at all. I called A&J and Jim fitted me in straightaway, even though it was obvious when I got there that he had loads of other jobs on. He made the car safe to drive, ordered the parts needed and they did the repair the next day for a decent price. I just wish Vauxhall were as good as Mollards for months i had issues with my car throwing up an airflow meter fault which Vauxhall main dealer couldn't fix, fortunately for me Mollards could as they traced the fault to the ecu which they they then replaced , now at this point im thinking mega bucks to repair but they managed to find working second hand unit with key chip transponder etc for just £75 ( main dealer £500+) they kept me informed throughout and talked through the options before carrying out any work. Since then i have used them for all my service & repair needs as have the rest of my family. The guys at the garage aren't your usual grease monkey spanner throwing muppets either they are fully trained techs that know their stuff, they are polite courteous at all times.My only negative comment is that they are based 40+ miles away but i think it speaks volumes about them if im prepared to drive all the way to Cheshire to get the service i want. 10/10
