A must see if you're visiting Wroclaw!
Hala Stulecia and the adjacent areas are a great place to go for various reasons.
1. Take a friend or someone special and check out the fountain. There are tons of fountains in Wroclaw, but this one takes the cake with its dancing sprays of water and music and lights.
2. Check out the Discovery Center. On a quiet Monday, I visited and learned a lot about the history and architecture of the dome itself and of Wroclaw. Very interesting - and presented in Polish, English, and German. Plan to take your time and get educated! Oh, and just a note - the door is off to the right of the main entrance... don't walk all the way around in the rain like I did.
3, The fountain. Oh, did I mention that already? Well, let me add that it is a great place to sit and do your Polish homework. On a HOT weekday afternoon, get out of the city center and sit in the shade cast by the pergola and get some work done. There are great breezes here in the open by the fountain.
4. The spire is pretty cool too - great place for a photo op.
5. Hala Stulecia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. How many times can you say you've been to one of those? Make sure to check it out!! read more
