I usually act by the "if you've got nothing nice to say, keep your silence", but I am breaking my…read morerule now because this place should come with a warning.
I was tempted by the location and the modern looking environment, so I decided to give it a go. I was booked to a "top stylist", a lovely girl that was clearly under training. She was very attentive and careful and looked like she was giving me the haircut that I wanted.
In the middle of her haircut, she went up to some other senior stylist and asked probably for advice. That senior stylist, without ever asking what it was I wanted, quickly looked at one of the pictures I had with me and without at all knowing or asking what it was I liked from the picture, went ahead and chopped a massive chunk of my front hair off!!!
She literally took away the comb and scissors from the girl that was until then cutting my hair and started doing her own thing, without even bothering to ask what it was I was looking for!!!
When, terrified, I pointed out that "I want the fringe to fade gradually", while what she had achieved by promptly chopping my hair at the front was the exact opposite (a bunch of messy short hair that just sits super awkwardly against the long sides), she went ahead and accused me of not showing her all the pictures I had!!! She had given neither me nor the other stylist any time to explain to her! The girl was watching the situation terrified because of course she knew that it was all wrong.
Long story short, don't be fooled by the "I have 30 years experience" stories.
30 years of experience at this salon clearly translates to not taking any time to understand what your customer wants and being full of yourself as an "expert" instead.
Who cares if you can cut hair if you cannot cut it according to your clients' wishes.
Honestly, beware of that place. No wonder it has max 3 stars on any review around the web and no wonder how a place in the centre of Stockholm can have so many time slots available. Now I know. Because it is a disaster.
