If I could give zero stars for Brandi and her team's service, I would. My friend booked them to…read moreprovide hair and makeup for 10 members of the wedding party, as well as hair services for the groom, within a strict wedding-day schedule. Unfortunately, there were multiple issues. The bride's, bridesmaids', and flower girl's curls began falling flat within a very short time. Several members of the wedding party had incomplete eyebrows, and I was unable to have my makeup completed properly because the artist did not have black eyeliner or a working pencil sharpener. My makeup also began to pile. I am a person of colour, and I was told that I was the first person of colour they had worked on and that they were not accustomed to working with my complexion or hair type. As a result, my makeup and hair was not completed to a standard I was happy with, and I ultimately had to make adjustments myself. This was particularly disappointing and uncomfortable on a wedding day, where the team should have been prepared to provide inclusive, professional services for all members of the bridal party. The groom's scheduled hair appointment was missed entirely, and he ultimately had to do his own hair. The bride's hair also began falling almost immediately, and I had to repeatedly fluff and adjust it throughout the day, including between photos. I had to have my own hair recurled after doing much of it myself, and it was left damaged from the repeated heat. I was also unhappy with my own hairstyle, which was done by Brandi's 15yo daughter. She did not check the front or profile of the style with me to ensure I was happy with how it looked. When I quietly expressed that I was unhappy and began fixing it myself so as not to embarrass her publicly, she responded with whispered attitude and eye rolls the remaining time there. I ultimately had to redo much of my own hair. The bride sent an email outlining the concerns and requesting a partial refund. The response did not meaningfully acknowledge the number of services that were incomplete, missed, or did not meet expectations. Instead, the response focused largely on the fact that the team had completed the booked services and suggested that concerns should have been raised at the time. However, the schedule was already running behind, and the wedding party did not have time to redo multiple services without creating additional stress for the bride. The response also stated that maintaining or refreshing hairstyles would have required an additional touch-up service. That does not explain why the styles began falling within minutes or why the groom's appointment was missed altogether. The issue was not simply that the hairstyles changed several hours later; some did not hold from the beginning. Overall, this was a highly stressful and disappointing experience on an important day. The combination of poor scheduling, incomplete makeup services, the failure to properly accommodate a person of colour, hairstyles that did not hold, the missed groom's appointment, and the dismissive response afterward was unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend booking Brandi or her team for wedding hair and makeup.

The owner of Scorpio's was my hair stylist for 15 years. Not once did I have a bad hair colour or…read morecut. She was amazing. Lots of compliments from friends here and in Vancouver. It is rather funny that you continued to go to a stylist who wasn't doing your hair to your liking. You'd have thought you'd go some where else rather than wait a year. Telling a person with dementia to sit down and wait their turn, OMG, you obviously have never dealt with people who have dementia. The owner was being kind and also ensuring the client was comfortable. A little kindness on your part would help. Anyone can develop dementia and its a horrible disease. The owner of Scorpios has always been willing and able to accomodate people with disabilities. it gives them a sense they still are part of society and for awhile they feel happy and look good. Over the years I've seen her work with people with disabilities, including a family member. When one of her long term clients was in hospital and would not eat, the stylist went to the hospital to feed them and of course take care of their hair. You are not the center of the universe. Some people need extra attention and help. You didn't. You might take a few lessons from the owner of Scorpios As to your complaint about a $60 hair cut, that is a really good price. Don't try White Rock or South Surrey, it will run you a hundred or better. there are any number of business owners in the Valley who spend extra time and effort with customers/clients who need the extra mile. They are what made the Valley a nice place to live and a good place to have your hair done if you develop dementia

I will never return now. I'm am an unhappy cfotmecustomer. pay attention to the one you are working on.
